^18 (A)And they will listen to your voice; and ^(B)you with the elders of Israel will come to the king of Egypt, and you all will say to him, ‘Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So now, please, let us go a ^(C)three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our God.’

²³ So I said to you, ‘^(A)Let My son go that he may serve Me’; but you have refused to let him go. Behold, ^(B)I will kill your son, your firstborn.”’”

Pharaoh Will Not Let the People Go

5 And afterward Moses and Aaron came and said to Pharaoh, “^(A)Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, ‘^(B)Let My people go that they may celebrate a feast to Me in the wilderness.’”

³ Then they said, “^(A)The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Please, let us go a three days’ journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to Yahweh our God, lest He confront us with pestilence or with the sword.”
