⁷ Take the anointing oil^(A) and anoint him by pouring it on his head. ⁸ Bring his sons and dress them in tunics^{(B) 9} and fasten caps on them. Then tie sashes on Aaron and his sons.^[a](C) The priesthood is theirs by a lasting ordinance.^(D)

“Then you shall ordain Aaron and his sons.

³⁰ “Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate^(A) them so they may serve me as priests.^(B)

¹⁵ Anoint them just as you anointed their father, so they may serve me as priests. Their anointing will be to a priesthood that will continue throughout their generations.^(A)”

⁷ Do not leave the entrance to the tent of meeting^(A) or you will die, because the Lord’s anointing oil^(B) is on you.” So they did as Moses said.
