40 “For Aaron’s sons you shall also make (A)tunics; you shall also make sashes for them, and you shall make [a](B)caps for them, for glory and for beauty. 41 Then you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him; and you shall (C)anoint them and [b]ordain them and consecrate them, so that they may serve Me as priests. 42 You shall make for them (D)linen undergarments to cover their bare flesh; they shall [c]reach from the waist even to the thighs. 43 And they shall be on Aaron and on his sons when they enter the tent of meeting, or (E)when they approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place, so that they do not incur [d]guilt and die. (F)It shall be a statute forever to him and to his [e]descendants after him.

40 Make tunics, sashes and caps for Aaron’s sons(A) to give them dignity and honor.(B) 41 After you put these clothes(C) on your brother Aaron and his sons, anoint(D) and ordain them. Consecrate them so they may serve me as priests.(E)
42 “Make linen undergarments(F) as a covering for the body, reaching from the waist to the thigh. 43 Aaron and his sons must wear them whenever they enter the tent of meeting(G) or approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place,(H) so that they will not incur guilt and die.(I)
“This is to be a lasting ordinance(J) for Aaron and his descendants.
