The Oil for the Lamp
20 “You shall further command the Israelites to bring you pure oil of beaten olives for the light, so that a lamp may be set up to burn continually.(A) 21 In the tent of meeting, outside the curtain that is before the covenant, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening to morning before the Lord. It shall be a perpetual ordinance to be observed throughout their generations by the Israelites.(B)

20 “You are to command the Israelites to bring you pure oil from crushed olives for the light, in order to keep the lamp burning regularly. 21 In the tent of meeting outside the curtain that is in front of the testimony,(A) Aaron and his sons are to tend the lamp(B) from evening until morning before the Lord. This is to be a permanent statute(C) for the Israelites throughout their generations.

20 “Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil(B) of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning. 21 In the tent of meeting,(C) outside the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law,(D) Aaron and his sons are to keep the lamps(E) burning before the Lord from evening till morning. This is to be a lasting ordinance(F) among the Israelites for the generations to come.
