Ark of the Covenant

10 (A)They shall construct an ark of acacia wood two and a half [a]cubits [b]long, and one and a half cubits [c]wide, and one and a half cubits [d]high. 11 You shall (B)overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and you shall make a gold molding [e]around it. 12 You shall cast four gold rings for it and [f]fasten them on its four feet, and two rings shall be on one side of it and two rings on the other side of it. 13 You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 14 You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark with them. 15 The (C)poles shall [g]remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it. 16 You shall (D)put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.

17 “You shall (E)make a [h]mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half [i]cubits [j]long and one and a half cubits [k]wide. 18 You shall make two cherubim of gold, make them of hammered work [l]at the two ends of the mercy seat. 19 Make one cherub [m]at one end and one cherub [n]at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat at its two ends. 20 (F)The cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings and [o]facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the mercy seat. 21 (G)You shall put the mercy seat [p]on top of the ark, and (H)in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you. 22 (I)There I will meet with you; and from above the mercy seat, from (J)between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about all that I will give you in commandment for the sons of Israel.

The Table of Showbread

23 (K)You shall make a table of acacia wood, two cubits [q]long and one cubit [r]wide and one and a half cubits [s]high. 24 You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a gold (L)border around it. 25 You shall make for it a rim of a handbreadth around it; and you shall make a gold border for the rim around it. 26 You shall make four gold rings for it and put rings on the four corners which are on its four feet. 27 The rings shall be close to the rim as holders for the poles to carry the table. 28 You shall make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold, so that with them the table may be carried. 29 You shall make its [t](M)dishes and its pans and its jars and its [u]bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold. 30 You shall set (N)the bread of the [v]Presence on the table before Me [w]at all times.

The Golden Lampstand

31 (O)Then you shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand and its base and its shaft are to be made of hammered work; its cups, its [x]bulbs and its flowers shall be of one piece with it. 32 (P)Six branches shall go out from its sides; three branches of the lampstand from its one side and three branches of the lampstand from its [y]other side. 33 (Q)Three cups shall be shaped like almond blossoms in the one branch, a [z]bulb and a flower, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms in the [aa]other branch, a [ab]bulb and a flower—so for six branches going out from the lampstand; 34 and (R)in the lampstand four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its [ac]bulbs and its flowers. 35 (S)A [ad]bulb shall be under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a [ae]bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a [af]bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand. 36 (T)Their [ag]bulbs and their branches shall be of one piece with it; all of it shall be one piece of hammered work of pure gold. 37 Then you shall make its lamps seven in number; and (U)they shall [ah]mount its lamps so as to shed light on the space in front of it. 38 Its snuffers and [ai]their trays shall be of pure gold. 39 It shall be made from a talent of pure gold, with all these utensils. 40 (V)See that you make them (W)after the pattern for them, which was shown to you on the mountain.

Construction Continues

37 (A)Now Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood; its length was two and a half [a]cubits, and its width one and a half cubits, and its height one and a half cubits; and he overlaid it with pure gold inside and out, and made a gold molding for it all around. He cast four rings of gold for it on its four feet; even two rings on one side of it, and two rings on the [b]other side of it. He made poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold. He put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry [c]it. He made a [d]mercy seat of pure gold, two and a half cubits [e]long and one and a half cubits [f]wide. He made two cherubim of gold; he made them of hammered work [g]at the two ends of the mercy seat; one cherub [h]at the one end and one cherub [i]at the other end; he made the cherubim of one piece with the mercy seat [j]at the two ends. The cherubim had their wings spread upward, covering the [k]mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward each other; the faces of the cherubim were toward the mercy seat.

10 (B)Then he made the table of acacia wood, two [l]cubits [m]long and a cubit [n]wide and one and a half cubits [o]high. 11 He overlaid it with pure gold, and made a gold molding for it all around. 12 He made a rim for it of a handbreadth all around, and made a gold molding for its rim all around. 13 He cast four gold rings for it and put the rings on the four corners that were on its four feet. 14 Close by the rim were the rings, the holders for the poles to carry the table. 15 He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold, to carry the table. 16 He made the utensils which were on the table, its [p]dishes and its pans and its [q]bowls and its jars, with which to pour out drink offerings, of pure gold.

17 (C)Then he made the lampstand of pure gold. He made the lampstand of hammered work, its base and its shaft; its cups, its [r]bulbs and its flowers were of one piece with it. 18 There were six branches going out of its sides; three branches of the lampstand from the one side of it and three branches of the lampstand from the [s]other side of it; 19 three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a [t]bulb and a flower in one branch, and three cups shaped like almond blossoms, a [u]bulb and a flower in the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand. 20 In the lampstand there were four cups shaped like almond blossoms, its [v]bulbs and its flowers; 21 and a [w]bulb was under the first pair of branches coming out of it, and a [x]bulb under the second pair of branches coming out of it, and a [y]bulb under the third pair of branches coming out of it, for the six branches coming out of the lampstand. 22 Their [z]bulbs and their branches were of one piece with it; the whole of it was a single hammered work of pure gold. 23 He made its seven lamps with its snuffers and its [aa]trays of pure gold. 24 He made it and all its utensils from a talent of pure gold.

25 (D)Then he made the altar of incense of acacia wood: a cubit [ab]long and a cubit [ac]wide, square, and two cubits [ad]high; its horns were of one piece with it. 26 He overlaid it with pure gold, its top and its [ae]sides all around, and its horns; and he made a gold molding for it all around. 27 He made two golden rings for it under its molding, on its two sides—on opposite sides—as holders for poles with which to carry it. 28 He made the poles of acacia wood and overlaid them with gold. 29 (E)And he made the holy anointing oil and the pure, fragrant incense of spices, the work of a perfumer.
