⁷ Then he took ^(A)the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people; and they said, “^(B)All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient!” ⁸ So ^(C)Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, “Behold ^(D)the blood of the covenant, which the Lord has ^[a]made with you ^[b]in accordance with all these words.”

³¹ They come to you as people come, and sit before you as My people and hear your words, but they do not do them, for they do the lustful desires expressed by their ^(A)mouth, and their heart goes after their ^(B)gain.
