The Promise Sealed with Blood
24 The Lord said to Moses, “You and Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and 70 of Israel’s leaders come up the mountain to me and worship at a distance. 2 Moses may come near the Lord, but the others may not. The people must not come along with Moses.”
3 Moses went and told the people all the Lord’s words and legal decisions. Then all the people answered with one voice, “We will do everything the Lord has told us to do.” 4 So Moses wrote down all the Lord’s words.
Early the next morning he built an altar at the foot of the mountain and ⌞set up⌟ 12 sacred stones for the 12 tribes of Israel. 5 Then he sent young Israelite men, and they sacrificed bulls as burnt offerings and fellowship offerings to the Lord. 6 Moses took half of the blood and put it into bowls, and he threw the other half against the altar. 7 Then he took the Book of the Lord’s Promise [a] and read it while the people listened. They said, “We will obey and do everything the Lord has said.”
8 Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people and said, “Here is the blood which seals the promise that the Lord has made to you based on everything you have just heard.”
9 Moses went up with Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and 70 of Israel’s leaders. 10 They saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made out of sapphire as clear and blue as the sky itself. 11 God didn’t harm these leaders of the Israelites. So they saw God, and then they ate and drank.
Moses Goes up the Mountain to Receive God’s Words Written on Stone
12 The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain. Stay there, and I will give you the stone tablets with the teachings and the commandments I have written for the people’s instruction.”
13 Moses set out with his assistant Joshua, and Moses went up on the mountain of God. 14 He said to the leaders, “Wait here for us until we come back to you. Aaron and Hur are here with you. Take all your disagreements to them.”
15 So Moses went up on the mountain, and the cloud covered it. 16 The glory of the Lord settled on Mount Sinai. For six days the cloud covered it, and on the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from inside the cloud. 17 To the Israelites, the glory of the Lord looked like a raging fire on top of the mountain. 18 Moses entered the cloud as he went up the mountain. He stayed on the mountain 40 days and 40 nights.

24 Dijo Jehová a Moisés: Sube ante Jehová, tú, y Aarón, Nadab, y Abiú, y setenta de los ancianos de Israel; y os inclinaréis desde lejos. 2 Pero Moisés solo se acercará a Jehová; y ellos no se acerquen, ni suba el pueblo con él.
3 Y Moisés vino y contó al pueblo todas las palabras de Jehová, y todas las leyes; y todo el pueblo respondió a una voz, y dijo: Haremos todas las palabras que Jehová ha dicho. 4 Y Moisés escribió todas las palabras de Jehová, y levantándose de mañana edificó un altar al pie del monte, y doce columnas, según las doce tribus de Israel. 5 Y envió jóvenes de los hijos de Israel, los cuales ofrecieron holocaustos y becerros como sacrificios de paz a Jehová. 6 Y Moisés tomó la mitad de la sangre, y la puso en tazones, y esparció la otra mitad de la sangre sobre el altar. 7 Y tomó el libro del pacto y lo leyó a oídos del pueblo, el cual dijo: Haremos todas las cosas que Jehová ha dicho, y obedeceremos. 8 Entonces Moisés tomó la sangre y roció sobre el pueblo, y dijo: He aquí la sangre del pacto(A) que Jehová ha hecho con vosotros sobre todas estas cosas.(B)
9 Y subieron Moisés y Aarón, Nadab y Abiú, y setenta de los ancianos de Israel; 10 y vieron al Dios de Israel; y había debajo de sus pies como un embaldosado de zafiro, semejante al cielo cuando está sereno. 11 Mas no extendió su mano sobre los príncipes de los hijos de Israel; y vieron a Dios, y comieron y bebieron.
12 Entonces Jehová dijo a Moisés: Sube a mí al monte, y espera allá, y te daré tablas de piedra, y la ley, y mandamientos que he escrito para enseñarles. 13 Y se levantó Moisés con Josué su servidor, y Moisés subió al monte de Dios. 14 Y dijo a los ancianos: Esperadnos aquí hasta que volvamos a vosotros; y he aquí Aarón y Hur están con vosotros; el que tuviere asuntos, acuda a ellos.
15 Entonces Moisés subió al monte, y una nube cubrió el monte. 16 Y la gloria de Jehová reposó sobre el monte Sinaí, y la nube lo cubrió por seis días; y al séptimo día llamó a Moisés de en medio de la nube. 17 Y la apariencia de la gloria de Jehová era como un fuego abrasador en la cumbre del monte, a los ojos de los hijos de Israel. 18 Y entró Moisés en medio de la nube, y subió al monte; y estuvo Moisés en el monte cuarenta días y cuarenta noches.(C)

2 Моисей один пусть приблизится к Господу, а они пусть не приближаются, и народ пусть не восходит с ним.
3 И пришел Моисей и пересказал народу все слова Господни и все законы. И отвечал весь народ в один голос, и сказали: все, что сказал Господь, сделаем.
4 И написал Моисей все слова Господни и, встав рано поутру, поставил под горою жертвенник и двенадцать камней, по [числу] двенадцати колен Израилевых;
5 и послал юношей из сынов Израилевых, и принесли они всесожжения, и заклали тельцов в мирную жертву Господу.
6 Моисей, взяв половину крови, влил в чаши, а [другою] половиною окропил жертвенник;
7 и взял книгу завета и прочитал вслух народу, и сказали они: всё, что сказал Господь, сделаем и будем послушны.
8 И взял Моисей крови и окропил народ, говоря: вот кровь завета, который Господь заключил с вами о всех словах сих.
9 Потом взошел Моисей и Аарон, Надав и Авиуд и семьдесят из старейшин Израилевых,
10 и видели Бога Израилева; и под ногами Его нечто подобное работе из чистого сапфира и, как самое небо, ясное.
11 И Он не простер руки Своей на избранных из сынов Израилевых: они видели Бога, и ели и пили.
12 И сказал Господь Моисею: взойди ко Мне на гору и будь там; и дам тебе скрижали каменные, и закон и заповеди, которые Я написал для научения их.
13 И встал Моисей с Иисусом, служителем своим, и пошел Моисей на гору Божию,
14 а старейшинам сказал: оставайтесь здесь, доколе мы не возвратимся к вам; вот Аарон и Ор с вами; кто будет иметь дело, пусть приходит к ним.
15 И взошел Моисей на гору, и покрыло облако гору,
16 и слава Господня осенила гору Синай; и покрывало ее облако шесть дней, а в седьмой день [Господь] воззвал к Моисею из среды облака.
17 Вид же славы Господней на вершине горы был пред глазами сынов Израилевых, как огонь поядающий.
18 Моисей вступил в средину облака и взошел на гору; и был Моисей на горе сорок дней и сорок ночей.

Calling of the First Disciples(A)
5 One day Jesus was standing by the Sea of Galilee. The people crowded around him as they listened to God’s word. 2 Jesus saw two boats on the shore. The fishermen had stepped out of them and were washing their nets. 3 So Jesus got into the boat that belonged to Simon and asked him to push off a little from the shore. Then Jesus sat down and taught the crowd from the boat.
4 When he finished speaking, he told Simon, “Take the boat into deep water, and lower your nets to catch some fish.”
5 Simon answered, “Teacher, we worked hard all night and caught nothing. But if you say so, I’ll lower the nets.”
6 After the men had done this, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to tear. 7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. Their partners came and filled both boats until the boats nearly sank.
8 When Simon Peter saw this, he knelt in front of Jesus and said, “Leave me, Lord! I’m a sinful person!” 9 Simon and everyone who was with him were amazed to see the large number of fish they had caught. 10 James and John, who were Zebedee’s sons and Simon’s partners, were also amazed.
Jesus told Simon, “Don’t be afraid. From now on you will catch people instead of fish.”
11 Simon and his partners brought the boats to shore, left everything, and followed Jesus.
Jesus Cures a Man with a Skin Disease(B)
12 One day Jesus was in a city where there was a man covered with a serious skin disease. When the man saw Jesus, he bowed with his face to the ground. He begged Jesus, “Sir, if you want to, you can make me clean.” [a]
13 Jesus reached out, touched him, and said, “I want to. So be clean!” Immediately, his skin disease went away.
14 Jesus ordered him, “Don’t tell anyone. Instead, show yourself to the priest. Then offer the sacrifice as Moses commanded as proof to people that you are clean.”
15 The news about Jesus spread even more. Large crowds gathered to hear him and have their diseases cured. 16 But he would go away to places where he could be alone for prayer.

5 Aconteció que estando Jesús junto al lago de Genesaret, el gentío se agolpaba sobre él para oír la palabra de Dios. 2 Y vio dos barcas que estaban cerca de la orilla del lago; y los pescadores, habiendo descendido de ellas, lavaban sus redes. 3 Y entrando en una de aquellas barcas, la cual era de Simón, le rogó que la apartase de tierra un poco; y sentándose, enseñaba desde la barca a la multitud.(A) 4 Cuando terminó de hablar, dijo a Simón: Boga mar adentro, y echad vuestras redes para pescar. 5 Respondiendo Simón, le dijo: Maestro, toda la noche hemos estado trabajando, y nada hemos pescado;(B) mas en tu palabra echaré la red. 6 Y habiéndolo hecho, encerraron gran cantidad de peces,(C) y su red se rompía. 7 Entonces hicieron señas a los compañeros que estaban en la otra barca, para que viniesen a ayudarles; y vinieron, y llenaron ambas barcas, de tal manera que se hundían. 8 Viendo esto Simón Pedro, cayó de rodillas ante Jesús, diciendo: Apártate de mí, Señor, porque soy hombre pecador. 9 Porque por la pesca que habían hecho, el temor se había apoderado de él, y de todos los que estaban con él, 10 y asimismo de Jacobo y Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, que eran compañeros de Simón. Pero Jesús dijo a Simón: No temas; desde ahora serás pescador de hombres. 11 Y cuando trajeron a tierra las barcas, dejándolo todo, le siguieron.

12 Sucedió que estando él en una de las ciudades, se presentó un hombre lleno de lepra, el cual, viendo a Jesús, se postró con el rostro en tierra y le rogó, diciendo: Señor, si quieres, puedes limpiarme. 13 Entonces, extendiendo él la mano, le tocó, diciendo: Quiero; sé limpio. Y al instante la lepra se fue de él. 14 Y él le mandó que no lo dijese a nadie; sino ve, le dijo, muéstrate al sacerdote, y ofrece por tu purificación, según mandó Moisés,(D) para testimonio a ellos. 15 Pero su fama se extendía más y más; y se reunía mucha gente para oírle, y para que les sanase de sus enfermedades. 16 Mas él se apartaba a lugares desiertos, y oraba.

3 Войдя в одну лодку, которая была Симонова, Он просил его отплыть несколько от берега и, сев, учил народ из лодки.
4 Когда же перестал учить, сказал Симону: отплыви на глубину и закиньте сети свои для лова.
5 Симон сказал Ему в ответ: Наставник! мы трудились всю ночь и ничего не поймали, но по слову Твоему закину сеть.
6 Сделав это, они поймали великое множество рыбы, и даже сеть у них прорывалась.
7 И дали знак товарищам, находившимся на другой лодке, чтобы пришли помочь им; и пришли, и наполнили обе лодки, так что они начинали тонуть.
8 Увидев это, Симон Петр припал к коленям Иисуса и сказал: выйди от меня, Господи! потому что я человек грешный.
9 Ибо ужас объял его и всех, бывших с ним, от этого лова рыб, ими пойманных;
10 также и Иакова и Иоанна, сыновей Зеведеевых, бывших товарищами Симону. И сказал Симону Иисус: не бойся; отныне будешь ловить человеков.
11 И, вытащив обе лодки на берег, оставили всё и последовали за Ним.
12 Когда Иисус был в одном городе, пришел человек весь в проказе и, увидев Иисуса, пал ниц, умоляя Его и говоря: Господи! если хочешь, можешь меня очистить.
13 Он простер руку, прикоснулся к нему и сказал: хочу, очистись. И тотчас проказа сошла с него.
14 И Он повелел ему никому не сказывать, а пойти показаться священнику и принести [жертву] за очищение свое, как повелел Моисей, во свидетельство им.
15 Но тем более распространялась молва о Нём, и великое множество народа стекалось к Нему слушать и врачеваться у Него от болезней своих.
16 Но Он уходил в пустынные места и молился.
