²¹“^(A)You shall not oppress a stranger nor torment him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

²¹“Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner,^(A) for you were foreigners^(B) in Egypt.

²²^(A)Do not rob the poor because he is poor,
Nor ^(B)crush the needy at the gate;

²²Do not exploit the poor^(A) because they are poor
and do not crush the needy in court,^(B)
