¹⁶^(A)“Whoever steals a man and sells him, and anyone found ^(B)in possession of him, shall be put to death.

New International Version

¹⁶“Anyone who kidnaps someone is to be put to death,^(A) whether the victim has been sold^(B) or is still in the kidnapper’s possession.

¹⁷^(A)“Whoever curses^[a] his father or his mother shall be put to death.

¹⁷“Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.^(A)
