⁵ So now then, ^(A)if you will indeed listen to My voice and ^(B)keep My covenant, then you shall be ^(C)My treasured possession among all the peoples, for ^(D)all the earth is Mine;

^6 (A)And Moses took half of the blood and put it in basins, and the other half of the blood he ^[a]sprinkled on the altar. ⁷ Then he took ^(B)the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people; and they said, “^(C)All that Yahweh has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient!” ⁸ So ^(D)Moses took the blood and ^[b]sprinkled it on the people and said, “Behold ^(E)the blood of the covenant, which Yahweh has cut with you ^[c]in accordance with all these words.”

² Yahweh our God cut ^(A)a covenant with us at Horeb. ^3 (B)Yahweh did not cut this covenant with our fathers, but with us, with all those of ^[a]us alive here today.
