They set out from (A)Rephidim and came into the wilderness of Sinai, and they encamped in the wilderness. There Israel encamped before (B)the mountain, while (C)Moses went up to God. (D)The Lord called to him out of the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the people of Israel: (E)‘You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how (F)I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be (G)my treasured possession among all peoples, for (H)all the earth is mine; and you shall be to me a (I)kingdom of priests and (J)a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”

So Moses came and called the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the Lord had commanded him. (K)All the people answered together and said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do.” And Moses reported the words of the people to the Lord.

After they set out from Rephidim,(A) they entered the Desert of Sinai, and Israel camped there in the desert in front of the mountain.(B)

Then Moses went up to God,(C) and the Lord called(D) to him from the mountain and said, “This is what you are to say to the descendants of Jacob and what you are to tell the people of Israel: ‘You yourselves have seen what I did to Egypt,(E) and how I carried you on eagles’ wings(F) and brought you to myself.(G) Now if you obey me fully(H) and keep my covenant,(I) then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession.(J) Although the whole earth(K) is mine, you[a] will be for me a kingdom of priests(L) and a holy nation.’(M) These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.”

So Moses went back and summoned the elders(N) of the people and set before them all the words the Lord had commanded him to speak.(O) The people all responded together, “We will do everything the Lord has said.”(P) So Moses brought their answer back to the Lord.
