Exodus 18:24-26
New American Standard Bible
24 So Moses listened [a]to his father-in-law and did everything that he had said. 25 Moses chose (A)able men out of all Israel and made them heads over the people, leaders of thousands, [b]of hundreds, [c]of fifties, and [d]of tens. 26 Then they judged the people at all times; (B)they would bring the difficult matter to Moses, but they would judge every minor matter themselves.

24 Moses listened to his father-in-law and did everything he said. 25 He chose capable men from all Israel and made them leaders(A) of the people, officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.(B) 26 They served as judges(C) for the people at all times. The difficult cases(D) they brought to Moses, but the simple ones they decided themselves.(E)
