²¹ But you shall ^[a]select ^(A)excellent men out of all the people, ^(B)those who fear God, men of truth, those who ^(C)hate greedy gain; and you shall place these men over them as leaders of thousands, ^[b]of hundreds, ^[c]of fifties, and ^[d]of tens.

¹⁶ These are they who were ^(A)called upon by the congregation, the leaders of their fathers’ tribes; they were the ^(B)heads of ^[a]divisions of Israel.”
