Exodus 18:2-4

2 Then Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, took Zipporah, Moses’ wife, after he had sent her back, 3 and her two sons, one of whom was named Gershom; for he said, “I have been a sojourner in a foreign land.” 4 And the name of the other was Eliezer, for he said, “The God of my father was my help, and He delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh.”

New International Version
2 After Moses had sent away his wife Zipporah,(A) his father-in-law Jethro received her 3 and her two sons.(B) One son was named Gershom,[a] for Moses said, “I have become a foreigner in a foreign land”;(C) 4 and the other was named Eliezer,[b](D) for he said, “My father’s God was my helper;(E) he saved me from the sword of Pharaoh.”
