7 “And in the greatness of Your [a]excellence You (A)overthrow those who rise up against You;
(B)You send forth Your burning anger, and it (C)consumes them as chaff.
8 “(D)At the blast of Your nostrils the waters were piled up,
(E)The flowing waters stood up like a heap;
The deeps were congealed in the heart of the sea.
9 “(F)The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake, I will (G)divide the spoil;
My [b]desire shall be [c]gratified against them;
I will draw out my sword, my hand will [d]destroy them.’

you threw down those who opposed you.
You unleashed your burning anger;(B)
it consumed(C) them like stubble.
8 By the blast of your nostrils(D)
the waters piled up.(E)
The surging waters stood up like a wall;(F)
the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.(G)
9 The enemy boasted,
‘I will pursue,(H) I will overtake them.
I will divide the spoils;(I)
I will gorge myself on them.
I will draw my sword
and my hand will destroy them.’
