Exodus 13:18-20
New Life Version
18 So God led the people through the desert to get to the Red Sea. The people of Israel went out of the land of Egypt ready for war. 19 Moses took the bones of Joseph with him because Joseph had made the people of Israel promise. He had said, “For sure God will keep you and you will carry my bones with you from here.” 20 Then they left Succoth and set up their tents at Etham, beside the desert.

New International Version
18 So God led(A) the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea.[a] The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle.(B)
19 Moses took the bones of Joseph(C) with him because Joseph had made the Israelites swear an oath. He had said, “God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up with you from this place.”[b](D)
20 After leaving Sukkoth(E) they camped at Etham on the edge of the desert.(F)
