Ang Pulong Sa Dios
Ang Pagtabok sa mga Israelinhon sa Pulang Dagat
17 Sa dihang gipalakaw na sa hari ang mga Israelinhon, wala sila giyahi sa Dios ngadto sa dalan nga molatas sa yuta sa mga Filistihanon bisag mao unta kadto ang mas duol nga agianan. Kay miingon ang Dios, “Basig mausab unya ang ilang hunahuna ug mobalik sa Ehipto kon makasinati silag gira.” 18 Busa gipalibot sila sa Dios sa kamingawan paingon sa Pulang Dagat. Armado ang mga Israelinhon alang sa gira paghawa nila sa Ehipto. 19 Gidala ni Moises ang mga bukog ni Jose, sumala sa gipapanumpa kaniadto ni Jose sa mga Israelinhon. Miingon kaniadto si Jose, “Sigurado nga pagawason kamo sa Dios. Kon mahitabo na kana, dad-a ninyo ang akong mga bukog inigbiya ninyo niining lugara.”
20 Unya mibiya sila sa Sucot ug nagkampo sa Etam, sa utlanan sa kamingawan. 21 Kon adlaw, ginagiyahan sila sa Ginoo pinaagi sa panganod nga daw haligi, ug kon gabii, ginagiyahan sila pinaagi sa panganod nga daw kalayo nga nagahatag kanila ug kahayag, aron makapadayon sila sa ilang lakaw, adlaw man o gabii. 22 Nagauna kanila kanunay ang panganod nga daw haligi kon adlaw ug ang panganod nga daw kalayo kon gabii.
14 Unya miingon ang Ginoo kang Moises, 2 “Ingna ang mga Israelinhon nga mobalik sila ug magkampo duol sa Pi-Hahirot, sa tunga-tunga sa Migdol ug sa Pulang Dagat, ug magkampo sila sa daplin sa dagat, atbang sa Baal Zefon. 3 Maghunahuna ang hari nga nahisalaag kamo ug dili na makagawas sa kamingawan. 4 Ug pagahion ko ang iyang kasingkasing ug gukdon niya kamo. Apan laglagon ko siya ug ang iyang mga sundalo. Niining paagiha mapasidunggan ako, ug mahibaloan sa mga Ehiptohanon nga ako mao ang Ginoo.” Busa gihimo kini sa mga Israelinhon.
5 Sa dihang nabalitaan sa hari sa Ehipto nga miikyas ang mga Israelinhon, nausab ang iyang hunahuna ug sa iyang mga opisyal bahin sa mga Israelinhon. Miingon sila, “Unsa kining atong gibuhat? Nganong gipalakaw man nato ang mga Israelinhon? Karon wala na kitay mga ulipon!” 6 Busa gipaandam sa hari ang iyang karwahe ug ang iyang mga sundalo. 7 Gidala niya ang 600 sa pinakamaayong karwahe sa Ehipto ug ang uban pang karwahe. Gidumalahan kining tanan sa iyang mga opisyal. 8 Gipagahi sa Ginoo ang kasingkasing sa Faraon nga hari sa Ehipto, busa gigukod niya ang mga Israelinhon nga maisogong mibiya. 9 Ang mga Ehiptohanon nga miuban sa paggukod mao ang mga sundalo sa hari uban sa iyang mga tigkabayo nga nagasakay sa mga kabayo ug mga karwahe. Naapsan nila ang mga Israelinhon sa ilang ginakampohan daplin sa Pulang Dagat duol sa Pi-Hahirot, atbang sa Baal Zefon.
10 Sa nagapadulong ang hari ug ang iyang mga sundalo, nakita sila sa mga Israelinhon. Busa nangahadlok sila pag-ayo ug nagpakitabang sila sa Ginoo. 11 Miingon sila kang Moises, “Nganong gidala mo pa kami dinhi sa kamingawan aron mamatay? Wala bay lubnganan didto sa Ehipto? Nganong gipagawas mo pa man kami gikan sa Ehipto? 12 Di ba nagaingon man kami kanimo didto sa Ehipto nga pasagdan mo na lang kami nga magpaulipon sa mga Ehiptohanon? Mas maayo pa nga nagpaulipon na lang kami sa mga Ehiptohanon kaysa mamatay kami dinhi sa kamingawan!”
13 Mitubag si Moises sa mga tawo, “Ayaw kamo kahadlok. Pagmalig-on kamo ug tan-awa ninyo ang pagluwas kaninyo sa Ginoo karong adlawa. Kanang mga Ehiptohanon nga nakita ninyo karon dili na gayod ninyo makita pag-usab. 14 Pagmalinawon lang kamo. Ang Ginoo ang makiggira alang kaninyo.” 15 Unya miingon ang Ginoo kang Moises, “Nganong nagpakitabang ka man kanako? Ingna ang mga Israelinhon nga magpadayon sila sa paglakaw. 16 Unya ipunting ang imong baston sa dagat aron matunga ang tubig ug makatabok ang mga Israelinhon sa malang yuta taliwala sa dagat. 17 Pagahion ko ang kasingkasing sa mga Ehiptohanon aron gukdon nila kamo. Apan laglagon ko ang hari ug ang tanan niyang mga sundalo, mga tigkabayo, ug mga karwahe. Niining paagiha mapasidunggan ako. 18 Ug kon malaglag ko na sila, mahibaloan sa mga Ehiptohanon nga ako mao ang Ginoo.”
19 Unya ang anghel sa Dios nga nagauna sa katawhan sa Israel mibalhin sa luyo, ug ang panganod nga daw haligi mibalhin usab sa luyo. 20 Mipundo ang panganod sa tunga-tunga sa mga Israelinhon ug sa mga Ehiptohanon. Tibuok gabii naghatag ang panganod ug kahayag sa mga Israelinhon ug naghatag ug kangitngit sa mga Ehiptohanon. Busa milabay ang gabii nga wala makaduol ang mga Ehiptohanon sa mga Israelinhon.
21 Unya gipunting ni Moises ang iyang kamot ibabaw sa dagat, ug natunga ang dagat pinaagi sa makusog nga hangin nga gipadala sa Ginoo gikan sa sidlakan. Tibuok gabii nga kusog ang hangin hangtod nga mimala ang yuta taliwala sa dagat. 22 Unya nangagi niining malang yuta ang mga Israelinhon, ug ang tubig nahimong morag paril sa ilang isigka-kilid. 23 Gigukod sila sa mga Ehiptohanon. Ang tanang mga kabayo sa hari, mga karwahe ug ang tanang tigkabayo misunod kanila sa taliwala sa dagat. 24 Apan nianang pagkakaadlawon, mitan-aw ang Ginoo gikan sa panganod nga daw kalayo ug daw haligi ngadto sa mga sundalo sa Ehipto, ug gipataranta niya sila. 25 Gipaungot niya ang mga ligid[a] sa ilang mga karwahe aron maglisod sila sa pagpadagan niini. Miingon ang mga Ehiptohanon, “Moatras na lang kita gikan sa mga Israelinhon, kay ang Ginoo mao ang nakiggira kanato alang kanila.”
26 Sa dihang nakatabok na ang mga Israelinhon, miingon ang Ginoo kang Moises, “Ipunting pag-usab ang imong kamot sa dagat aron mobalik ang tubig ug matabonan ang mga Ehiptohanon ug ang ilang mga karwahe ug mga tigkabayo.” 27 Busa gipunting ni Moises ang iyang kamot sa dagat, ug sa pagsubang sa adlaw, mibalik ang tubig sa daang nahimutangan niini. Misulay ang mga Ehiptohanon sa pag-ikyas apan gilumsan sila sa Ginoo. 28 Natabonan sa tubig ang tanang kasundalohan sa hari sa Ehipto nga migukod sa mga Israelinhon lakip ang ilang mga tigkabayo ug mga karwahe. Wala gayoy usa kanila nga nakalingkawas. 29 Apan ang mga Israelinhon naglakaw sa malang yuta taliwala sa dagat, diin ang mga tubig nahimong morag paril sa ilang isigka-kilid. 30 Nianang adlawa, giluwas sa Ginoo ang mga Israelinhon gikan sa kamot sa mga Ehiptohanon. Ug nakita sa mga Israelinhon ang mga patayng lawas sa mga Ehiptohanon nga nagbuy-od sa baybayon. 31 Nakita sa mga Israelinhon ang katingalahang gahom sa Ginoo nga iyang gigamit batok sa mga Ehiptohanon. Tungod niini, mitahod ug misalig sila sa Ginoo ug sa iyang alagad nga si Moises.
Ang Awit ni Moises
15 Unya miawit si Moises ug ang mga Israelinhon niini nga awit ngadto sa Ginoo:
“Awitan ko ang Ginoo tungod kay nagmadaogon gayod siya.
Gitambog niya sa dagat ang mga kabayo ug ang mga nagsakay niini.
2 Ang Ginoo mao ang nagahatag kanako ug kusog,
ug siya ang akong awit.
Siya ang nagluwas kanako.
Siya ang akong Dios, ug dayegon ko siya.
Siya ang Dios sa akong amahan,[b] ug pasidunggan ko siya.
3 Ginoo ang iyang ngalan, ug usa siya ka manggugubat.
4 Gitambog niya sa dagat ang mga karwahe ug mga sundalo sa hari sa Ehipto.
Nangalumos sa Pulang Dagat ang pinakamaayong mga opisyal sa hari.
5 Nangalumos sila sa lawom nga tubig;
naunlod sila sa kinahiladman nga daw bato.
6 Labihan gayod ang imong gahom, O Ginoo;
pinaagi niini gidugmok mo ang mga kaaway.
7 Sa imong pagkagamhanan, gilaglag mo ang mga mikontra kanimo.
Gipatagamtam mo kanila ang imong kasuko nga mipuo kanila nga daw mga dagami nga gisunog.
8 Sa usa mo lang ka paghuyop napundok ang tubig.
Natigom ang dakong bul-og sa tubig ug mibarog nga daw paril;
nimala ang yuta taliwala sa dagat.
9 Nagpasigarbo ang kaaway nga nagkanayon,
‘Gukdon ko sila ug dakpon;
bahinon ko ang ilang mga kabtangan ug tagbawon ko ang akong kaugalingon niini.
Hulboton ko ang akong espada ug laglagon ko sila.’
10 Apan sa usa mo lang ka paghuyop nalumos sila sa dagat.
Naunlod sila sa kinahiladman nga daw tingga.
11 O Ginoo, kinsa sa mga dios ang sama kanimo?
Walay sama kanimo sa pagkabalaan ug pagkagamhanan.
Ikaw lang ang Dios nga nagahimo ug katingalahang mga butang!”
12 “Pinaagi sa imong gahom[c] gilamoy sa yuta ang among mga kaaway.
13 Sa imong mapinadayonon nga gugma tultolan mo ang mga tawo nga imong giluwas.
Sa imong kusog, tultolan mo sila sa imong balaan nga puloy-anan.
14 Madunggan kini sa mga nasod ug magkurog sila sa kahadlok.
Makulbaan gayod ang mga Filistihanon.
15 Ang mga pangulo sa Edom ug Moab magakurog sa kahadlok,
ug ang mga pangulo[d] sa Canaan daw malipong sa kahadlok.
16 Oo, mangalisang gayod sila.
Pinaagi sa imong pagkagamhanan dili sila makalihok sama sa bato,
hangtod makalabay ang imong katawhan nga imong giluwas,[e] O Ginoo.
17 Dad-on mo ang imong katawhan sa imong yuta,
ug ipahimutang mo sila sa bukid nga imong gipanag-iyahan—ang dapit nga gihimo mo nga imong pinuy-anan, O Ginoo,
ang templo nga ikaw mismo ang naghimo.
18 Magahari ka, O Ginoo, sa walay kataposan.

Crossing the Sea
17 When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.”(A) 18 So God led(B) the people around by the desert road toward the Red Sea.[a] The Israelites went up out of Egypt ready for battle.(C)
19 Moses took the bones of Joseph(D) with him because Joseph had made the Israelites swear an oath. He had said, “God will surely come to your aid, and then you must carry my bones up with you from this place.”[b](E)
20 After leaving Sukkoth(F) they camped at Etham on the edge of the desert.(G) 21 By day the Lord went ahead(H) of them in a pillar of cloud(I) to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. 22 Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left(J) its place in front of the people.
14 Then the Lord said to Moses, 2 “Tell the Israelites to turn back and encamp near Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol(K) and the sea. They are to encamp by the sea, directly opposite Baal Zephon.(L) 3 Pharaoh will think, ‘The Israelites are wandering around the land in confusion, hemmed in by the desert.’ 4 And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart,(M) and he will pursue them.(N) But I will gain glory(O) for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord.”(P) So the Israelites did this.
5 When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled,(Q) Pharaoh and his officials changed their minds(R) about them and said, “What have we done? We have let the Israelites go and have lost their services!” 6 So he had his chariot made ready and took his army with him. 7 He took six hundred of the best chariots,(S) along with all the other chariots of Egypt, with officers over all of them. 8 The Lord hardened the heart(T) of Pharaoh king of Egypt, so that he pursued the Israelites, who were marching out boldly.(U) 9 The Egyptians—all Pharaoh’s horses(V) and chariots, horsemen[c] and troops(W)—pursued the Israelites and overtook(X) them as they camped by the sea near Pi Hahiroth, opposite Baal Zephon.(Y)
10 As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried(Z) out to the Lord. 11 They said to Moses, “Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die?(AA) What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? 12 Didn’t we say to you in Egypt, ‘Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians’? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!”(AB)
13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid.(AC) Stand firm and you will see(AD) the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see(AE) again. 14 The Lord will fight(AF) for you; you need only to be still.”(AG)
15 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me?(AH) Tell the Israelites to move on. 16 Raise your staff(AI) and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water(AJ) so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. 17 I will harden the hearts(AK) of the Egyptians so that they will go in after them.(AL) And I will gain glory through Pharaoh and all his army, through his chariots and his horsemen. 18 The Egyptians will know that I am the Lord(AM) when I gain glory through Pharaoh, his chariots and his horsemen.”
19 Then the angel of God,(AN) who had been traveling in front of Israel’s army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud(AO) also moved from in front and stood behind(AP) them, 20 coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night the cloud brought darkness(AQ) to the one side and light to the other side; so neither went near the other all night long.
21 Then Moses stretched out his hand(AR) over the sea,(AS) and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind(AT) and turned it into dry land.(AU) The waters were divided,(AV) 22 and the Israelites went through the sea(AW) on dry ground,(AX) with a wall(AY) of water on their right and on their left.
23 The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen(AZ) followed them into the sea. 24 During the last watch of the night the Lord looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud(BA) at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion.(BB) 25 He jammed[d] the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, “Let’s get away from the Israelites! The Lord is fighting(BC) for them against Egypt.”(BD)
26 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen.” 27 Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and at daybreak the sea went back to its place.(BE) The Egyptians were fleeing toward[e] it, and the Lord swept them into the sea.(BF) 28 The water flowed back and covered the chariots and horsemen—the entire army of Pharaoh that had followed the Israelites into the sea.(BG) Not one of them survived.(BH)
29 But the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground,(BI) with a wall(BJ) of water on their right and on their left. 30 That day the Lord saved(BK) Israel from the hands of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead on the shore. 31 And when the Israelites saw the mighty hand(BL) of the Lord displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared(BM) the Lord and put their trust(BN) in him and in Moses his servant.
The Song of Moses and Miriam
15 Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song(BO) to the Lord:
“I will sing(BP) to the Lord,
for he is highly exalted.
Both horse and driver(BQ)
he has hurled into the sea.(BR)
2 “The Lord is my strength(BS) and my defense[f];
he has become my salvation.(BT)
He is my God,(BU) and I will praise him,
my father’s God, and I will exalt(BV) him.
3 The Lord is a warrior;(BW)
the Lord is his name.(BX)
4 Pharaoh’s chariots and his army(BY)
he has hurled into the sea.
The best of Pharaoh’s officers
are drowned in the Red Sea.[g]
5 The deep waters(BZ) have covered them;
they sank to the depths like a stone.(CA)
6 Your right hand,(CB) Lord,
was majestic in power.
Your right hand,(CC) Lord,
shattered(CD) the enemy.
7 “In the greatness of your majesty(CE)
you threw down those who opposed you.
You unleashed your burning anger;(CF)
it consumed(CG) them like stubble.
8 By the blast of your nostrils(CH)
the waters piled up.(CI)
The surging waters stood up like a wall;(CJ)
the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.(CK)
9 The enemy boasted,
‘I will pursue,(CL) I will overtake them.
I will divide the spoils;(CM)
I will gorge myself on them.
I will draw my sword
and my hand will destroy them.’
10 But you blew with your breath,(CN)
and the sea covered them.
They sank like lead
in the mighty waters.(CO)
11 Who among the gods
is like you,(CP) Lord?
Who is like you—
majestic in holiness,(CQ)
awesome in glory,(CR)
working wonders?(CS)
12 “You stretch out(CT) your right hand,
and the earth swallows your enemies.(CU)
13 In your unfailing love you will lead(CV)
the people you have redeemed.(CW)
In your strength you will guide them
to your holy dwelling.(CX)
14 The nations will hear and tremble;(CY)
anguish(CZ) will grip the people of Philistia.(DA)
15 The chiefs(DB) of Edom(DC) will be terrified,
the leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling,(DD)
the people[h] of Canaan will melt(DE) away;
16 terror(DF) and dread will fall on them.
By the power of your arm
they will be as still as a stone(DG)—
until your people pass by, Lord,
until the people you bought[i](DH) pass by.(DI)
17 You will bring(DJ) them in and plant(DK) them
on the mountain(DL) of your inheritance—
the place, Lord, you made for your dwelling,(DM)
the sanctuary,(DN) Lord, your hands established.
18 “The Lord reigns
for ever and ever.”(DO)

17 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God led them not through the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest peradventure the people repent when they see war, and they return to Egypt:
18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.
19 And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him: for he had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.
20 And they took their journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness.
21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:
22 He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people.
14 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall ye encamp by the sea.
3 For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in.
4 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honoured upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord. And they did so.
5 And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?
6 And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him:
7 And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them.
8 And the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: and the children of Israel went out with an high hand.
9 But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.
10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord.
11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
12 Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness.
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
14 The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
15 And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:
16 But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.
19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them:
20 And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.
21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.
22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
23 And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them to the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.
24 And it came to pass, that in the morning watch the Lord looked unto the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of the cloud, and troubled the host of the Egyptians,
25 And took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the Lord fighteth for them against the Egyptians.
26 And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.
27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the Lord overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.
28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.
29 But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
30 Thus the Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.
31 And Israel saw that great work which the Lord did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the Lord, and believed the Lord, and his servant Moses.
15 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the Lord, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.
2 The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.
3 The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.
4 Pharaoh's chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.
5 The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.
6 Thy right hand, O Lord, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath dashed in pieces the enemy.
7 And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble.
8 And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.
9 The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.
10 Thou didst blow with thy wind, the sea covered them: they sank as lead in the mighty waters.
11 Who is like unto thee, O Lord, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?
12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hand, the earth swallowed them.
13 Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.
14 The people shall hear, and be afraid: sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina.
15 Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away.
16 Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of thine arm they shall be as still as a stone; till thy people pass over, O Lord, till the people pass over, which thou hast purchased.
17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.
18 The Lord shall reign for ever and ever.
