⁵¹ And on that very day the Lord brought the Israelites out of Egypt^(A) by their divisions.^(B)

⁵ Though you already know all this,^(A) I want to remind you^(B) that the Lord^[a] at one time delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe.^(C)

²⁹ In this wilderness your bodies will fall^(A)—every one of you twenty years old or more^(B) who was counted in the census^(C) and who has grumbled against me. ³⁰ Not one of you will enter the land^(D) I swore with uplifted hand^(E) to make your home, except Caleb son of Jephunneh^(F) and Joshua son of Nun.^(G)
