⁴⁸ But ^(A)if a ^[a]stranger sojourns with you, and ^[b]celebrates the Passover to the Lord, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near to ^[c]celebrate it; and he shall be like a native of the land. But no uncircumcised person may eat of it.

^16 (A)So circumcise ^[a]your heart, and ^(B)stiffen your neck no longer.

⁸ And He ^(A)gave him ^[a]the covenant of circumcision; and so ^(B)Abraham became the father of Isaac, and circumcised him on the eighth day; and ^(C)Isaac became the father of Jacob, and ^(D)Jacob of the twelve ^(E)patriarchs.

¹¹ and he ^(A)received the sign of circumcision, ^(B)a seal of the righteousness of the faith which ^[a]he had while uncircumcised, so that he might be ^(C)the father of ^(D)all who believe without being circumcised, that righteousness might be credited to them,
