12 For on this same night I will go through Egypt, striking down every firstborn in the land, human being and beast alike, and executing judgment on all the gods of Egypt—I, the Lord!(A) 13 But for you the blood will mark the houses where you are. Seeing the blood, I will pass over you; thereby, when I strike the land of Egypt, no destructive blow will come upon you.(B)
14 This day will be a day of remembrance for you, which your future generations will celebrate with pilgrimage to the Lord; you will celebrate it as a statute forever.

12 “On that same night I will pass through(A) Egypt and strike down(B) every firstborn(C) of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods(D) of Egypt. I am the Lord.(E) 13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over(F) you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.(G)
14 “This is a day you are to commemorate;(H) for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the Lord—a lasting ordinance.(I)
