⁴ And Moses said, Thus saith Jehovah, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt: ⁵ and all the first-born in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first-born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the first-born of the maid-servant that is behind the mill; and all the first-born of cattle. ⁶ And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there hath not been, nor shall be any more.

²⁹ And it came to pass at midnight, that Jehovah smote all the first-born in the land of Egypt, from the first-born of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the first-born of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the first-born of cattle. ³⁰ And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. ³¹ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve Jehovah, as ye have said.

⁴² And when even was now come, because it was the Preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath, ⁴³ there came Joseph of Arimathaea, a councillor of honorable estate, who also himself was looking for the kingdom of God; and he boldly went in unto Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus. ⁴⁴ And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether ^[a]he had been any while dead. ⁴⁵ And when he learned it of the centurion, he granted the corpse to Joseph. ⁴⁶ And he bought a linen cloth, and taking him down, wound him in the linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb which had been hewn out of a rock; and he rolled a stone against the door of the tomb. ⁴⁷ And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.

16 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of ^[a]James, and Salome, bought spices, that they might come and anoint him. ² And very early on the first day of the week, they come to the tomb when the sun was risen. ³ And they were saying among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the tomb? ⁴ and looking up, they see that the stone is rolled back: for it was exceeding great. ⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, arrayed in a white robe; and they were amazed. ⁶ And he saith unto them, Be not amazed: ye seek Jesus, the Nazarene, who hath been crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold, the place where they laid him! ⁷ But go, tell his disciples and Peter, He goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.

³⁷ And he answered and said, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; ³⁸ and the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; and the tares are the sons of the evil one; ³⁹ and the enemy that sowed them is the devil: and the harvest is ^[a]the end of the world; and the reapers are angels. ⁴⁰ As therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with fire; so shall it be in ^[b]the end of the world. ⁴¹ The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and them that do iniquity, ⁴² and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth. ⁴³ Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears, ^[c]let him hear.

⁷ For the mystery of lawlessness doth already work: ^[a]only there is one that restraineth now, until he be taken out of the way. ⁸ And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord ^[b]Jesus shall ^[c]slay with the breath of his mouth, and bring to nought by the manifestation of his ^[d]coming; ⁹ even he, whose ^[e]coming is according to the working of Satan with all ^[f]power and signs and lying wonders, ¹⁰ and with all deceit of unrighteousness for them that ^[g]perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this cause God sendeth them a working of error, that they should believe a lie:

²⁶ If therefore they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the wilderness; go not forth: Behold, he is in the inner chambers; believe ^[a]it not. ²⁷ For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the ^[b]coming of the Son of man. ²⁸ Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the ^[c]eagles be gathered together.

²⁹ But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: ³⁰ and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. ³¹ And he shall send forth his angels ^[d]with ^[e]a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

² Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath. ³ Thus saith Jehovah: I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called The city of truth; and the mountain of Jehovah of hosts, The holy mountain. ⁴ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: There shall yet old men and old women ^[a]dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand ^[b]for very age.

¹⁵ so again have I thought in these days to do good unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not. ¹⁶ These are the things that ye shall do: Speak ye every man the truth with his neighbor; ^[a]execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates; ¹⁷ and let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, saith Jehovah.
