9 (A)And he said to his people, “Behold, the people of the sons of Israel are [a]more and mightier than we. 10 Come, let us (B)deal wisely with them, lest they multiply and it be [b]in the event of war, that they also join themselves to those who hate us and fight against us and (C)go up from the land.” 11 So they appointed (D)taskmasters over them to afflict them with [c](E)hard labors. And they built for Pharaoh (F)storage cities, Pithom and (G)Raamses.

9 “Look,” he said to his people, “the Israelites have become far too numerous(A) for us.(B) 10 Come, we must deal shrewdly(C) with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country.”(D)
11 So they put slave masters(E) over them to oppress them with forced labor,(F) and they built Pithom and Rameses(G) as store cities(H) for Pharaoh.
