Daruri pentru construirea Tabernaculului

35 Moise a strâns la un loc toată adunarea israeliţilor şi le-a zis: „Acestea sunt lucrurile pe care le-a poruncit Domnul să le faceţi: «Şase zile să lucraţi, iar ziua a şaptea să fie ziua voastră sfântă, o zi de odihnă închinată Domnului; oricine va lucra în ziua aceea să fie pedepsit cu moartea. Să nu aprindeţi focul în nici una din locuinţele voastre în ziua de Sabat.»“

Moise a mai zis întregii adunări a israeliţilor: „Iată ce a mai poruncit Domnul: «Luaţi din ceea ce aveţi şi aduceţi o contribuţie Domnului; fiecare să aducă o contribuţie Domnului după cum îl lasă inima: aur, argint, bronz, fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie, fir de in subţire, păr de capră, piei de berbeci vopsite în roşu, piei de viţel de mare, lemn de salcâm, ulei pentru luminat, mirodenii pentru untdelemnul folosit la ungere şi pentru tămâia mirositoare, pietre de onix şi pietre pentru efod şi pieptar.»

10 Toţi aceia dintre voi care sunt pricepuţi, să vină şi să facă tot ce a poruncit Domnul: 11 Tabernaculul, cu cortul şi acoperişul lui, cârligele, scândurile, drugii, stâlpii şi piedestalele lui, 12 Chivotul cu drugii lui, Capacul Ispăşirii şi draperia despărţitoare[a], 13 masa cu drugii şi cu toate uneltele ei, pâinea prezentării, 14 sfeşnicul pentru luminat cu uneltele şi cu candelele lui, precum şi uleiul pentru luminat, 15 altarul tămâierii cu drugii lui, untdelemnul pentru ungere, tămâia mirositoare, draperia de la intrarea în Tabernacul, 16 altarul arderilor de tot cu grătarul de bronz, cu drugii şi cu toate uneltele lui, ligheanul cu piedestalul lui, 17 draperiile curţii, stâlpii lor şi piedestalele acestora, draperia pentru intrarea curţii, 18 ţăruşii Tabernaculului, ţăruşii curţii şi funiile lor, 19 veşmintele lucrate cu măiestrie pentru slujirea în Locul Sfânt, veşmintele sfinte ale preotului Aaron şi veşmintele fiilor săi pentru slujirea ca preoţi.“

20 Toată adunarea israeliţilor a plecat dinaintea lui Moise. 21 Apoi au revenit, fiecare cu ce s-a hotărât în inima lui şi cu ce l-a îndemnat duhul şi şi-au adus Domnului contribuţia pentru lucrarea de la Cortul Întâlnirii, pentru toată slujirea de acolo şi pentru veşmintele sfinte. 22 Au venit atât bărbaţi, cât şi femei; cei care s-au hotărât, au adus cercei şi belciuge de nas, inele, bijuterii, tot felul de lucruri de aur; fiecare şi-a adus aurul ca o jertfă legănată pentru Domnul. 23 Oricine avea fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie, fir de in subţire, păr de capră, piei de berbeci vopsite în roşu sau piei de viţel de mare, le-a adus. 24 Oricine putea aduce o contribuţie în argint sau bronz a adus-o Domnului. Oricine avea lemn de salcâm bun pentru orice fel de lucrare l-a adus. 25 Toate femeile pricepute au tors cu mâinile lor şi au adus astfel fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi fir de in subţire; 26 femeile care s-au hotărât, şi-au folosit priceperea să toarcă păr de capră. 27 Conducătorii au adus pietre de onix şi pietre pentru efod şi pieptar, 28 mirodenii, ulei pentru luminat, untdelemn pentru ungere şi pentru tămâia mirositoare. 29 Israeliţii, bărbaţi şi femei, care s-au hotărât în inimile lor să aducă ceva pentru lucrarea pe care a poruncit-o Domnul prin Moise să se facă, au adus ca un dar de bunăvoie pentru Domnul.

Beţalel şi Oholiab[b]

30 Apoi Moise le-a zis israeliţilor: „Vă anunţ că Domnul l-a chemat pe nume pe Beţalel, fiul lui Uri, fiul lui Hur, din seminţia lui Iuda, 31 pe care El l-a umplut cu Duhul lui Dumnezeu, cu înţelepciune, cu pricepere şi cunoaştere pentru tot felul de lucrări, 32 ca să creeze proiecte de artă, să prelucreze aurul, argintul şi bronzul, 33 să taie şi să fixeze pietre scumpe, să prelucreze lemnul şi să facă tot felul de lucrări artizanale. 34 Lui i-a fost dată şi îndemânarea de a-i învăţa pe alţii, atât lui, cât şi lui Oholiab, fiul lui Ahisamah, din seminţia lui Dan. 35 El i-a umplut cu înţelepciune, ca să facă tot felul de lucrări, de gravură, de croire, de brodare cu fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi cu fire de in subţire – tot felul de lucrări şi de planuri iscusite.“

Sabbath Regulations

35 Moses assembled all the congregation of the people of Israel and said to them, (A)“These are the things that the Lord has commanded you to do. (B)Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. (C)You shall kindle no fire in all your dwelling places on the Sabbath day.”

Contributions for the Tabernacle

Moses said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, “This is the thing that the Lord has commanded. (D)Take from among you a contribution to the Lord. (E)Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the Lord's contribution: gold, silver, and bronze; blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen; goats' hair, tanned rams' skins, and goatskins;[a] acacia wood, oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, and onyx stones and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece.

10 “Let (F)every skillful craftsman among you come and make all that the Lord has commanded: 11 (G)the tabernacle, its tent and its covering, its hooks and its frames, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; 12 (H)the ark with its poles, the mercy seat, and the (I)veil of the screen; 13 (J)the table with its poles and all its utensils, and the (K)bread of the Presence; 14 (L)the lampstand also for the light, with its utensils and its lamps, and the (M)oil for the light; 15 (N)and the altar of incense, with its poles, (O)and the anointing oil and the (P)fragrant incense, and (Q)the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle; 16 (R)the altar of burnt offering, with its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils, the (S)basin and its stand; 17 (T)the hangings of the court, its pillars and its bases, and the screen for the gate of the court; 18 (U)the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court, and their (V)cords; 19 the (W)finely worked garments for ministering[b] in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for their service as priests.”

20 Then all the congregation of the people of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. 21 And they came, (X)everyone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him, (Y)and brought the Lord's contribution to be used for the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments. 22 So they came, both men and women. All who were of a willing heart brought brooches and earrings and signet rings and armlets, all sorts of gold objects, every man dedicating an offering of gold to the Lord. 23 And (Z)every one who possessed (AA)blue or purple or scarlet yarns or fine linen or goats' hair or tanned rams' skins or goatskins brought them. 24 (AB)Everyone who could make a contribution of silver or bronze brought it as the Lord's contribution. And every one who possessed acacia wood of any use in the work brought it. 25 And every (AC)skillful woman spun with her hands, and they all brought what they had spun in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. 26 All the women (AD)whose hearts stirred them to use their skill spun the goats' hair. 27 And the (AE)leaders brought onyx stones and stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastpiece, 28 and spices and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense. 29 (AF)All the men and women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for the work that the Lord had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a freewill offering to the Lord.

Construction of the Tabernacle

30 (AG)Then Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with (AH)skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, 32 to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, 33 in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. 34 And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan. 35 He has (AI)filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer.

Sabbath Regulations

35 Moses assembled the whole Israelite community and said to them, “These are the things the Lord has commanded(A) you to do: For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a day of sabbath(B) rest to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it is to be put to death.(C) Do not light a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.(D)

Materials for the Tabernacle(E)(F)

Moses said to the whole Israelite community, “This is what the Lord has commanded: From what you have, take an offering for the Lord. Everyone who is willing is to bring to the Lord an offering of gold, silver and bronze; blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen; goat hair; ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather[a]; acacia wood; olive oil(G) for the light; spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.

10 “All who are skilled among you are to come and make everything the Lord has commanded:(H) 11 the tabernacle(I) with its tent and its covering, clasps, frames, crossbars, posts and bases; 12 the ark(J) with its poles and the atonement cover and the curtain(K) that shields it; 13 the table(L) with its poles and all its articles and the bread of the Presence; 14 the lampstand(M) that is for light with its accessories, lamps and oil for the light; 15 the altar(N) of incense with its poles, the anointing oil(O) and the fragrant incense;(P) the curtain for the doorway at the entrance to the tabernacle;(Q) 16 the altar(R) of burnt offering with its bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils; the bronze basin(S) with its stand; 17 the curtains of the courtyard with its posts and bases, and the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard;(T) 18 the tent pegs(U) for the tabernacle and for the courtyard, and their ropes; 19 the woven garments worn for ministering in the sanctuary—both the sacred garments(V) for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests.”

20 Then the whole Israelite community withdrew from Moses’ presence, 21 and everyone who was willing and whose heart moved them came and brought an offering to the Lord for the work on the tent of meeting, for all its service, and for the sacred garments. 22 All who were willing, men and women alike, came and brought gold jewelry of all kinds: brooches, earrings, rings and ornaments. They all presented their gold as a wave offering to the Lord. 23 Everyone who had blue, purple or scarlet yarn(W) or fine linen, or goat hair, ram skins dyed red or the other durable leather brought them. 24 Those presenting an offering of silver or bronze brought it as an offering to the Lord, and everyone who had acacia wood for any part of the work brought it. 25 Every skilled woman(X) spun with her hands and brought what she had spun—blue, purple or scarlet yarn or fine linen. 26 And all the women who were willing and had the skill spun the goat hair. 27 The leaders(Y) brought onyx stones and other gems(Z) to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece. 28 They also brought spices and olive oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense.(AA) 29 All the Israelite men and women who were willing(AB) brought to the Lord freewill offerings(AC) for all the work the Lord through Moses had commanded them to do.

Bezalel and Oholiab(AD)

30 Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the Lord has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills(AE) 32 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 33 to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic crafts. 34 And he has given both him and Oholiab(AF) son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach(AG) others. 35 He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work(AH) as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers and designers.
