Facerea veşmintelor preoţeşti

39 Cu materiile vopsite în albastru(A), în purpuriu şi în cărămiziu, au făcut veşmintele(B) preoţilor pentru slujba Sfântului Locaş şi au făcut veşminte sfinte lui Aaron, cum(C) poruncise lui Moise Domnul. 2 Au făcut efodul(D) din aur, din fir albastru, purpuriu şi cărămiziu şi din in subţire răsucit. 3 Au întins nişte plăci de aur şi le-au tăiat în fire subţiri, pe care le-au ţesut în materiile vopsite în albastru, în purpuriu şi în cărămiziu, şi în in subţire; era lucrat cu măiestrie. 4 I-au făcut nişte umerari care se împreunau cu el, aşa că, la cele două capete ale lui, efodul era legat cu ei. 5 Brâul era de aceeaşi lucrătură ca efodul şi prins de el; era de aur, de fir albastru, purpuriu şi cărămiziu şi de in subţire răsucit, cum poruncise lui Moise Domnul. 6 Au pregătit pietrele(E) de onix, le-au prins în legături de aur şi au săpat pe ele numele fiilor lui Israel, cum se sapă peceţile. 7 Le-au pus pe umerarii efodului ca pietre de aducere-aminte(F) pentru fiii lui Israel, cum poruncise lui Moise Domnul.

Facerea pieptarului

8 Au făcut(G) apoi pieptarul, lucrat cu măiestrie, din aceeaşi lucrătură ca efodul: din aur, din fir albastru, purpuriu şi cărămiziu şi din in subţire răsucit. 9 Era în patru colţuri. Pieptarul l-au făcut îndoit; lungimea lui era de o palmă şi lăţimea, de o palmă; era îndoit. 10 Au pus în el patru şiruri(H) de pietre: în şirul întâi – un sardonix, un topaz şi un smaragd; 11 în al doilea şir – un rubin, un safir şi un diamant; 12 în al treilea şir – un opal, un agat şi un ametist; 13 iar în al patrulea şir: un hrisolit, un onix şi un iaspis. Pietrele acestea erau legate în ferecăturile lor de aur. 14 Erau douăsprezece, după numele fiilor lui Israel; erau săpate ca nişte peceţi, fiecare cu numele uneia din cele douăsprezece seminţii. 15 Pe pieptar au făcut apoi nişte lănţişoare de aur curat, împletite ca nişte sfori. 16 Au făcut două ferecături de aur şi două verigi de aur şi au pus cele două verigi la cele două capete ale pieptarului. 17 Apoi cele două lănţişoare împletite, din aur le-au vârât în cele două verigi de la cele două capete ale pieptarului; 18 iar celelalte două capete ale celor două lănţişoare le-au agăţat de cele două ferecături şi le-au pus pe umerarii efodului în partea dinainte. 19 Au mai făcut două verigi de aur, pe care le-au pus la cele două capete de jos ale pieptarului, pe marginea dinăuntru dinspre efod. 20 Apoi au făcut alte două verigi de aur, pe care le-au pus la cei doi umerari ai efodului jos, pe partea dinainte a lui, tocmai acolo unde se împreună efodul cu umerarii, deasupra brâului efodului. 21 Au legat pieptarul cu verigile lui de verigile efodului cu o sfoară albastră, aşa ca pieptarul să stea ţeapăn deasupra brâului efodului şi să nu se poată mişca de pe efod, cum poruncise lui Moise Domnul.

Facerea mantiei efodului

22 Au făcut(I) mantia de sub efod, ţesută toată cu meşteşug din materie albastră. 23 La mijlocul mantiei, sus, era o gură ca gura unei platoşe; gura aceasta era tivită de jur împrejur, ca să nu se rupă. 24 Pe marginea mantiei au făcut nişte rodii de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie, din fir răsucit; 25 au făcut şi nişte clopoţei(J) de aur curat, şi clopoţeii i-au pus între rodii, de jur împrejurul mantiei: 26 venea un clopoţel şi o rodie, un clopoţel şi o rodie pe toată marginea dimprejurul mantiei, pentru slujbă, cum poruncise lui Moise Domnul.

Tunicile şi placa de aur

27 Au făcut(K) şi tunicile din in subţire, ţesute cu măiestrie, pentru Aaron şi fiii lui; 28 mitra(L) din in subţire şi scufiile din in subţire care slujeau ca podoabă; izmenele(M) din in subţire răsucit; 29 brâul(N) din in subţire răsucit, lucrat la gherghef şi de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie, cum poruncise lui Moise Domnul. 30 Au făcut apoi şi placa(O) de aur curat, cununa împărătească sfântă, şi au săpat pe ea, cum se sapă pe o pecete: „Sfânt Domnului”. 31 Au legat-o de mitră sus cu o sfoară albastră, cum poruncise lui Moise Domnul.

Lucrarea este sfârşită

32 Astfel au fost isprăvite toate lucrările locaşului cortului întâlnirii. Copiii lui Israel au făcut tot(P) ce poruncise lui Moise Domnul: aşa au făcut. 33 Au adus locaşul la Moise: cortul şi toate uneltele lui, copcile, scândurile, drugii, stâlpii şi picioarele lui; 34 învelitoarea din piei de berbec vopsite în roşu, învelitoarea din piei de viţel de mare şi perdeaua de despărţire; 35 chivotul mărturiei şi drugii lui, şi capacul ispăşirii; 36 masa cu toate uneltele ei şi pâinile pentru punerea înaintea Domnului; 37 sfeşnicul din aur curat, candelele lui aşezate în rând şi toate uneltele lui, şi untdelemnul pentru sfeşnic; 38 altarul din aur, untdelemnul pentru ungere şi tămâia mirositoare, şi perdeaua de la uşa cortului; 39 altarul din aramă, grătarul lui din aramă, drugii lui şi toate uneltele lui; ligheanul cu piciorul lui; 40 pânzele curţii, stâlpii ei şi picioarele lor, perdeaua de la poarta curţii, funiile ei, ţăruşii ei şi toate uneltele pentru slujba locaşului cortului întâlnirii; 41 veşmintele pentru slujbă, pentru făcut slujba în Locul sfânt, veşmintele sfinte pentru preotul Aaron şi veşmintele fiilor lui pentru slujbele preoţeşti. 42 Copiii lui Israel au făcut(Q) toate aceste lucrări după toate poruncile pe care le dăduse lui Moise Domnul. 43 Moise a cercetat toate lucrările şi iată, le făcuseră cum poruncise Domnul, aşa le făcuseră. Şi Moise i-a binecuvântat(R).

Pieptarul

8 Apoi au făcut pieptarul pe care l-au lucrat cu măiestrie, aşa cum au făcut şi efodul: din aur, din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie şi din fir de in subţire răsucit. 9 Pieptarul avea suprafaţa pătrată şi era făcut din material dublu, având lungimea şi lăţimea de o palmă[a]. 10 Au fixat pe el patru şiruri de pietre: pe primul şir – un sard, un topaz şi un smarald; 11 pe al doilea şir – un turcoaz, un safir[b] şi un diamant; 12 pe al treilea şir – un iacint, un agat şi un ametist; iar 13 pe al patrulea şir – un crisolit, un onix şi un jasp[c]. Acestea erau fixate în monturi de aur. 14 Erau douăsprezece pietre cu numele israeliţilor; pe fiecare dintre acestea era gravat, asemenea sigiliilor, numele uneia din cele douăsprezece seminţii.

Alte veşminte ale preoţilor

27 Au făcut şi tunicile ţesute din fir de in subţire pentru Aaron şi fiii săi; 28 mitra şi scufiile le-au făcut tot din fir de in subţire, izmenele – din fir de in subţire răsucit, 29 iar brâul – din fir de in subţire răsucit şi din fire de culoare albastră, purpurie şi cărămizie, lucrat la gherghef, aşa cum îi poruncise Domnul lui Moise.

30 Au făcut apoi şi plăcuţa de aur curat, cununa sfântă, şi au gravat pe ea, aşa cum se gravează un sigiliu: „Sfânt pentru Domnul.“ 31 Au prins-o sus, pe mitră, cu o sfoară albastră, aşa cum îi poruncise Domnul lui Moise.

Încheierea lucrărilor

42 Israeliţii au făcut toată lucrarea aşa cum îi poruncise Domnul lui Moise. 43 Moise a verificat toată lucrarea şi iată că ei o făcuseră aşa cum poruncise Domnul. Şi Moise i-a binecuvântat.

The Priestly Garments

39 Now from the [a](A)violet, purple, and scarlet material they made finely (B)woven garments for ministering in the Holy Place, [b]as well as the holy garments which were for Aaron, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

2 (C)He made the ephod of gold and of violet, purple, and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen. 3 Then they hammered out gold sheets and cut them into threads [c]to be woven in with the violet, the purple, and the scarlet material, and the fine linen, the work of a skilled embroiderer. 4 They made attaching shoulder pieces for [d]the ephod; it was attached at its two upper ends. 5 And the skillfully woven band of its overlay which was on it was like its workmanship, [e]of the same material: of gold and of violet, purple, and scarlet material, and fine twisted linen, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

6 (D)They also made the onyx stones, set in gold filigree settings; they were engraved like the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the sons of Israel. 7 And (E)he placed them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

8 And (F)he made the breastpiece, the work of a skilled embroiderer, like the workmanship of the ephod: of gold and of violet, purple, and scarlet material and fine twisted linen. 9 It was square; they made the breastpiece folded double, a [f]span [g]long and a span [h]wide when folded double. 10 And they [i]mounted four rows of stones on it. The first row was a row of ruby, topaz, and emerald; 11 and the second row, a turquoise, a sapphire, and a diamond; 12 and the third row, a jacinth, an agate, and an amethyst; 13 and the fourth row, a beryl, an onyx, and a jasper. They were set in gold filigree settings when they were [j]mounted. 14 The stones corresponded to the names of the sons of Israel; they were twelve, corresponding to their names, engraved with the engravings of a signet, each with its name for the twelve tribes. 15 And they made for the breastpiece chains like cords, work of twisted cords of pure gold. 16 They made two gold filigree settings and two gold rings, and put the two rings on the two ends of the breastpiece. 17 Then they put the two gold cords in the two rings at the ends of the breastpiece. 18 And they put the other two ends of the two cords on the two filigree settings, and put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod at the front of it. 19 They made two gold rings and placed them on the two ends of the breastpiece, on its inner edge which was next to the ephod. 20 Furthermore, they made two gold rings and placed them on the bottom of the two shoulder pieces of the ephod, on the front of it, close to the place where it joined, above the woven band of the ephod. 21 And they bound the breastpiece by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a violet cord, so that it would be on the woven band of the ephod, and that the breastpiece would not come loose from the ephod, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

22 (G)Then he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of violet; 23 (H)and the opening of the robe was at the top in the center, as the opening of a coat of mail, with a binding all around its opening, so that it would not be torn. 24 And they made pomegranates of violet, purple, and scarlet material and twisted linen on the hem of the robe. 25 They also made bells of pure gold, and put the bells between the pomegranates all around on the hem of the [k]robe, 26 [l]alternating a bell and a pomegranate all around on the hem of the robe for the service, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

27 (I)They also made the tunics of finely woven linen for Aaron and his sons, 28 and the turban of fine linen, and the decorated [m]caps of fine linen, and the linen undergarments of fine twisted linen, 29 and the sash of fine twisted linen, and violet, purple, and scarlet material, the work of the [n]weaver, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

30 (J)They also made the plate of the holy crown of pure gold, and [o]inscribed it like the engravings of a signet, “Holy to the Lord.” 31 Then they [p]fastened a violet cord to it, to [q]fasten it on the turban above, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

32 So all the work of the [r]tabernacle of the tent of meeting was completed; and the sons of Israel did according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses; so they did. 33 Then they brought the tabernacle to Moses, the tent and all its [s]furnishings: its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its bases; 34 and the covering of rams’ skins [t]dyed red, and the covering of [u]fine leather, and the covering curtain; 35 the ark of the testimony, its poles, and the [v]atoning cover; 36 the table, all its utensils, and the bread of the [w]Presence; 37 the pure gold lampstand, [x]with its arrangement of lamps and all its utensils, and the oil for the light; 38 and the gold altar, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the curtain for the doorway of the tent; 39 the [y]bronze altar and its [z]bronze grating, its poles and all its utensils, the basin and its stand; 40 the hangings for the courtyard, its pillars and its bases, and the curtain for the gate of the courtyard, its ropes and its pegs, and all the [aa]equipment for the service of the tabernacle, for the tent of meeting; 41 the woven garments for ministering in the Holy Place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to serve as priests. 42 So the sons of Israel did all the work according to everything that the Lord had commanded Moses. 43 And Moses [ab]examined all the work, and behold, they had done it; just as the Lord had commanded, this they had done. So Moses (K)blessed them.
