Altarul tămâierii
30 Să faci apoi un(A) altar(B) pentru arderea tămâiei, şi anume să-l faci din lemn de salcâm. 2 Lungimea lui să fie de un cot, iar lăţimea, tot de un cot; să fie în patru colţuri, şi înălţimea lui să fie de doi coţi. Coarnele altarului să fie dintr-o bucată cu el. 3 Să-i poleieşti cu aur curat atât partea de sus, cât şi pereţii lui de jur împrejur şi coarnele şi să-i faci o cunună de aur de jur împrejur. 4 Dedesubtul cununii, să-i faci două verigi de aur, de amândouă laturile, în cele două unghiuri, pentru punerea drugilor care vor sluji la ducerea lui. 5 Drugii să-i faci din lemn de salcâm şi să-i poleieşti cu aur. 6 Să aşezi altarul în faţa perdelei dinăuntru, care este înaintea chivotului mărturiei, în faţa capacului(C) ispăşirii, care este deasupra mărturiei şi unde Mă voi întâlni cu tine. 7 Aaron va arde pe el tămâie(D) mirositoare; va arde tămâie în fiecare dimineaţă, când va(E) pregăti candelele; 8 va arde şi seara când va aşeza candelele. Astfel se va arde necurmat din partea voastră tămâie înaintea Domnului din neam în neam. 9 Să nu aduceţi pe altar altfel(F) de tămâie, nici ardere-de-tot, nici jertfă de mâncare şi să nu turnaţi pe el nicio jertfă de băutură. 10 Numai o dată pe fiecare an, Aaron(G) va face ispăşire pe coarnele altarului. Ispăşirea aceasta o va face o dată pe an cu sângele dobitocului adus ca jertfă pentru ispăşirea păcatului, printre urmaşii voştri. Acesta va fi un lucru preasfânt înaintea Domnului.”
Darurile pentru locaş
11 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise şi a zis: 12 „Când(H) vei socoti pe copiii lui Israel şi le vei face numărătoarea, fiecare din ei să dea Domnului un dar în bani pentru răscumpărarea(I) sufletului lui, ca să nu fie loviţi de nicio urgie(J), cu prilejul acestei numărători. 13 Iată ce(K) vor da toţi cei ce vor fi cuprinşi în numărătoarea aceasta: o jumătate de siclu, după siclul Sfântului Locaş, care este(L) de douăzeci de ghere; o jumătate(M) de siclu va fi darul ridicat pentru Domnul. 14 Orice om cuprins în numărătoare, de la vârsta de douăzeci de ani în sus, va plăti darul ridicat pentru Domnul. 15 Bogatul(N) să nu plătească mai mult şi săracul să nu plătească mai puţin de o jumătate de siclu ca dar ridicat pentru Domnul, pentru răscumpărarea(O) sufletelor. 16 Să ridici de la copiii lui Israel argintul pentru răscumpărare şi să-l întrebuinţezi(P) pentru slujba cortului întâlnirii; aceasta va fi pentru copiii lui Israel o aducere-aminte(Q) înaintea Domnului pentru răscumpărarea sufletelor lor.”
Ligheanul de aramă
17 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise şi a zis: 18 „Să faci(R) un lighean de aramă, cu piciorul lui de aramă, pentru spălat; să-l aşezi între cortul(S) întâlnirii şi altar şi să torni apă în el, 19 ca să-şi spele în el Aaron(T) şi fiii lui mâinile şi picioarele. 20 Când vor intra în cortul întâlnirii, se vor spăla cu apa aceasta, ca să nu moară, şi se vor spăla şi când se vor apropia de altar, ca să facă slujba şi ca să aducă Domnului jertfe arse de foc. 21 Îşi vor spăla mâinile şi picioarele ca să nu moară(U). Aceasta va fi o lege necurmată pentru Aaron, pentru fiii lui şi pentru urmaşii lor.”
Untdelemnul sfânt şi tămâia
22 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise şi a zis: 23 „Ia(V) din cele mai bune mirodenii, cinci sute de sicli de smirnă(W) foarte curată, jumătate, adică două sute cincizeci de sicli, de scorţişoară mirositoare, două sute cincizeci de sicli de trestie(X) mirositoare, 24 cinci sute de sicli de(Y) casia, după siclul Sfântului Locaş, şi un hin(Z) de untdelemn de măsline. 25 Cu ele să faci un untdelemn pentru ungerea sfântă, o amestecătură mirositoare, făcută după meşteşugul făcătorului de mir; acesta va fi untdelemnul(AA) pentru ungerea sfântă. 26 Cu el să ungi(AB) cortul întâlnirii şi chivotul mărturiei, 27 masa şi toate uneltele ei, sfeşnicul şi uneltele lui, altarul tămâierii, 28 altarul arderilor-de-tot, cu toate uneltele lui, şi ligheanul cu piciorul lui. 29 Să sfinţeşti aceste lucruri, şi ele vor fi preasfinte; oricine(AC) se va atinge de ele va fi sfinţit. 30 Să ungi(AD), de asemenea, pe Aaron şi pe fiii lui şi să-i sfinţeşti, ca să fie în slujba Mea ca preoţi. 31 Să vorbeşti copiilor lui Israel şi să le spui: ‘Acesta Îmi va fi untdelemnul pentru ungerea sfântă, printre urmaşii voştri. 32 Să nu se ungă cu el trupul niciunui om şi să nu faceţi un alt untdelemn ca el după aceeaşi întocmire; el este(AE) sfânt, şi voi să-l priviţi ca sfânt. 33 Oricine(AF) va face un untdelemn ca el sau va unge cu el pe altul va fi nimicit din poporul lui.’ ” 34 Domnul a zis lui Moise: „Ia(AG) mirodenii, stacte, onice mirositoare, halvan şi tămâie curată în aceeaşi măsură. 35 Cu ele să faci tămâie, o amestecătură mirositoare, alcătuită(AH) după meşteşugul făcătorului de mir; să fie sărată, curată şi sfântă. 36 S-o pisezi mărunt şi s-o pui înaintea mărturiei, în cortul întâlnirii, unde(AI) Mă voi întâlni cu tine. Acesta va fi pentru voi un lucru(AJ) preasfânt. 37 Tămâie ca aceasta, în aceeaşi întocmire, să nu(AK) vă faceţi, ci s-o priviţi ca sfântă şi păstrată pentru Domnul. 38 Oricine(AL) va face tămâie ca ea ca s-o miroase va fi nimicit din poporul lui.”

L’autel des parfums
30 Tu feras aussi un autel pour faire brûler du parfum ; tu le feras en bois d’acacia. 2 Il sera carré, de cinquante centimètres de côté, relevé aux angles de quatre cornes en saillie. Il aura un mètre de hauteur[a]. 3 Tu en plaqueras d’or pur[b] le plateau, les parois tout autour et les cornes et tu le garniras d’une bordure d’or qui en fera le tour. 4 Tu lui feras deux anneaux d’or, que tu fixeras sous la bordure de part et d’autre, sur les deux parois pour recevoir les barres servant à transporter l’autel. 5 Tu feras ces barres en bois d’acacia plaqué d’or. 6 Tu placeras l’autel devant le voile qui cache le coffre de l’acte de l’alliance, devant le propitiatoire qui est au-dessus de l’acte de l’alliance, là où je te rencontrerai. 7 C’est sur cet autel que chaque matin Aaron fera brûler les essences parfumées pendant qu’il arrangera les lampes, 8 et chaque soir, quand il les allumera. Le parfum brûlera continuellement devant l’Eternel, de génération en génération. 9 Vous n’y offrirez pas de parfum profane ni d’holocauste, ni d’offrande, et vous n’y répandrez aucune libation[c]. 10 Une fois l’an, Aaron fera le rite d’expiation sur les cornes de l’autel : de génération en génération, il fera le rite d’expiation pour l’autel une fois par an[d] avec le sang du sacrifice pour le péché offert pour l’expiation. Cet autel est éminemment saint pour l’Eternel.
L’offrande pour racheter la vie des Israélites
11 L’Eternel parla encore à Moïse en ces termes : 12 Lorsque tu recenseras les Israélites, chacun d’eux donnera à l’Eternel une rançon pour sa vie au moment où il sera recensé ; ainsi ce dénombrement ne leur attirera aucun malheur. 13 Chacun de ceux qui seront recensés versera la moitié de l’unité de poids en vigueur au sanctuaire[e] c’est-à-dire six grammes d’argent : c’est un prélèvement pour l’Eternel. 14 Toute personne de vingt ans et au-dessus comptée lors de ce recensement donnera ce prélèvement pour l’Eternel. 15 Les riches ne paieront pas plus et les pauvres pas moins que cette somme pour acquitter le prélèvement dû à l’Eternel, en rançon pour leur vie. 16 Tu percevras des Israélites l’argent de cette rançon et tu le destineras à l’entretien de la tente de la Rencontre. Il rappellera à l’Eternel que la rançon pour leur vie a été versée.
La cuve pour les ablutions
17 Ensuite l’Eternel parla à Moïse en ces termes : 18 Tu feras aussi une cuve de bronze pour les ablutions. Elle sera montée sur un socle du même métal ; tu la placeras entre la tente de la Rencontre et l’autel et tu la rempliras d’eau. 19 Avec cette eau, Aaron et ses fils se laveront les mains et les pieds. 20 Avant d’entrer dans la tente de la Rencontre, ils se passeront à l’eau ; ainsi ils ne mourront pas. De même, lorsqu’ils viendront faire leur service à l’autel pour brûler un sacrifice consumé par le feu pour l’Eternel, 21 ils se laveront les mains et les pieds, et ils ne mourront pas. C’est là, pour Aaron et pour ses descendants, une ordonnance qui sera en vigueur à perpétuité, de génération en génération.
L’huile d’onction
22 Puis l’Eternel parla à Moïse en ces termes : 23 Procure-toi des aromates de première qualité : six kilogrammes de myrrhe fluide[f], la moitié, soit trois kilogrammes, de cinnamome aromatique[g], trois kilogrammes de cannelle, 24 six kilogrammes de casse – selon l’unité de poids en vigueur au sanctuaire[h] et six litres d’huile d’olive[i]. 25 Tu en feras une huile d’onction sainte, un baume odorant fabriqué par un parfumeur ; ce sera une huile sainte pour l’onction.
26 Avec cette huile, tu oindras la tente de la Rencontre et le coffre de l’acte de l’alliance, 27 la table avec tous ses ustensiles, le chandelier et ses accessoires, l’autel des parfums, 28 l’autel des holocaustes et tous ses accessoires, ainsi que la cuve avec son socle. 29 Tu les consacreras et ils seront éminemment saints. Tout ce qui les touchera sera saint. 30 Tu oindras aussi Aaron et ses fils et tu les consacreras à mon service comme prêtres.
31 Puis tu t’adresseras aux Israélites en ces termes : Cette huile d’onction sainte sera réservée à l’Eternel de génération en génération. 32 On n’en répandra pas sur le corps d’un humain et vous n’en composerez pas selon la même formule. Elle est sainte et vous la considérerez comme telle. 33 Celui qui composera une huile semblable et qui en appliquera sur quelqu’un d’autre qu’un prêtre sera retranché de son peuple.
Le parfum
34 L’Eternel dit à Moïse : Procure-toi des essences parfumées : du stacté, de l’onyx et du galbanum[j], et avec ces aromates, de l’encens raffiné, le tout en quantités égales. 35 Tu en feras faire un mélange parfumé, composé par un parfumeur, ce sera un parfum salé[k], pur et saint. 36 Tu en réduiras une partie en poudre fine que tu poseras devant l’acte de l’alliance dans la tente de la Rencontre où je te rencontrerai. Ce sera pour vous une chose éminemment sainte. 37 Vous ne ferez pas de parfum de même composition pour votre usage personnel. Vous le considérerez comme une chose sainte, réservée à l’Eternel. 38 Celui qui en fera pour jouir de son odeur sera retranché de son peuple.

The Altar of Incense(A)
30 “Make an altar(B) of acacia wood for burning incense.(C) 2 It is to be square, a cubit long and a cubit wide, and two cubits high[a]—its horns(D) of one piece with it. 3 Overlay the top and all the sides and the horns with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it.(E) 4 Make two gold rings(F) for the altar below the molding—two on each of the opposite sides—to hold the poles used to carry it. 5 Make the poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.(G) 6 Put the altar in front of the curtain that shields the ark of the covenant law—before the atonement cover(H) that is over the tablets of the covenant law—where I will meet with you.
7 “Aaron must burn fragrant incense(I) on the altar every morning when he tends the lamps. 8 He must burn incense again when he lights the lamps at twilight so incense will burn regularly before the Lord for the generations to come.(J) 9 Do not offer on this altar any other incense(K) or any burnt offering or grain offering, and do not pour a drink offering on it. 10 Once a year(L) Aaron shall make atonement(M) on its horns. This annual atonement must be made with the blood of the atoning sin offering[b](N) for the generations to come.(O) It is most holy to the Lord.”
Atonement Money
11 Then the Lord said to Moses, 12 “When you take a census(P) of the Israelites to count them, each one must pay the Lord a ransom(Q) for his life at the time he is counted. Then no plague(R) will come on them when you number them. 13 Each one who crosses over to those already counted is to give a half shekel,[c] according to the sanctuary shekel,(S) which weighs twenty gerahs. This half shekel is an offering to the Lord. 14 All who cross over, those twenty years old or more,(T) are to give an offering to the Lord. 15 The rich are not to give more than a half shekel and the poor are not to give less(U) when you make the offering to the Lord to atone for your lives. 16 Receive the atonement(V) money from the Israelites and use it for the service of the tent of meeting.(W) It will be a memorial(X) for the Israelites before the Lord, making atonement for your lives.”
Basin for Washing
17 Then the Lord said to Moses, 18 “Make a bronze basin,(Y) with its bronze stand, for washing. Place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it. 19 Aaron and his sons are to wash their hands and feet(Z) with water(AA) from it. 20 Whenever they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water so that they will not die.(AB) Also, when they approach the altar to minister by presenting a food offering to the Lord, 21 they shall wash their hands and feet so that they will not die. This is to be a lasting ordinance(AC) for Aaron and his descendants for the generations to come.”(AD)
Anointing Oil
22 Then the Lord said to Moses, 23 “Take the following fine spices:(AE) 500 shekels[d] of liquid myrrh,(AF) half as much (that is, 250 shekels) of fragrant cinnamon,(AG) 250 shekels[e] of fragrant calamus,(AH) 24 500 shekels(AI) of cassia(AJ)—all according to the sanctuary shekel—and a hin[f] of olive oil. 25 Make these into a sacred anointing oil, a fragrant blend, the work of a perfumer.(AK) It will be the sacred anointing oil.(AL) 26 Then use it to anoint(AM) the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law, 27 the table and all its articles, the lampstand and its accessories, the altar of incense, 28 the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, and the basin with its stand. 29 You shall consecrate them(AN) so they will be most holy, and whatever touches them will be holy.(AO)
30 “Anoint Aaron and his sons and consecrate(AP) them so they may serve me as priests.(AQ) 31 Say to the Israelites, ‘This is to be my sacred anointing oil(AR) for the generations to come.(AS) 32 Do not pour it on anyone else’s body and do not make any other oil using the same formula. It is sacred, and you are to consider it sacred.(AT) 33 Whoever makes perfume like it and puts it on anyone other than a priest must be cut off(AU) from their people.’”
Incense
34 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Take fragrant spices(AV)—gum resin, onycha and galbanum—and pure frankincense, all in equal amounts, 35 and make a fragrant blend of incense,(AW) the work of a perfumer.(AX) It is to be salted and pure and sacred. 36 Grind some of it to powder and place it in front of the ark of the covenant law in the tent of meeting, where I will meet(AY) with you. It shall be most holy(AZ) to you. 37 Do not make any incense with this formula for yourselves; consider it holy(BA) to the Lord. 38 Whoever makes incense like it to enjoy its fragrance must be cut off(BB) from their people.”

10 And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto the Lord.
11 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
12 When thou takest the sum of the children of Israel after their number, then shall they give every man a ransom for his soul unto the Lord, when thou numberest them; that there be no plague among them, when thou numberest them.
13 This they shall give, every one that passeth among them that are numbered, half a shekel after the shekel of the sanctuary: (a shekel is twenty gerahs:) an half shekel shall be the offering of the Lord.
14 Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering unto the Lord.
15 The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the Lord, to make an atonement for your souls.
16 And thou shalt take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a memorial unto the children of Israel before the Lord, to make an atonement for your souls.
17 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
18 Thou shalt also make a laver of brass, and his foot also of brass, to wash withal: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein.
19 For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat:
20 When they go into the tabernacle of the congregation, they shall wash with water, that they die not; or when they come near to the altar to minister, to burn offering made by fire unto the Lord:
21 So they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they die not: and it shall be a statute for ever to them, even to him and to his seed throughout their generations.
22 Moreover the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
23 Take thou also unto thee principal spices, of pure myrrh five hundred shekels, and of sweet cinnamon half so much, even two hundred and fifty shekels, and of sweet calamus two hundred and fifty shekels,
24 And of cassia five hundred shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, and of oil olive an hin:
25 And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil.
26 And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony,
27 And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense,
28 And the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot.
29 And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy.
30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.
31 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, This shall be an holy anointing oil unto me throughout your generations.
32 Upon man's flesh shall it not be poured, neither shall ye make any other like it, after the composition of it: it is holy, and it shall be holy unto you.
33 Whosoever compoundeth any like it, or whosoever putteth any of it upon a stranger, shall even be cut off from his people.
34 And the Lord said unto Moses, Take unto thee sweet spices, stacte, and onycha, and galbanum; these sweet spices with pure frankincense: of each shall there be a like weight:
35 And thou shalt make it a perfume, a confection after the art of the apothecary, tempered together, pure and holy:
36 And thou shalt beat some of it very small, and put of it before the testimony in the tabernacle of the congregation, where I will meet with thee: it shall be unto you most holy.
37 And as for the perfume which thou shalt make, ye shall not make to yourselves according to the composition thereof: it shall be unto thee holy for the Lord.
38 Whosoever shall make like unto that, to smell thereto, shall even be cut off from his people.
