Porunci pentru facerea cortului
25 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise şi a zis: 2 „Vorbeşte copiilor lui Israel: ‘Să-Mi aducă un dar; să-l primiţi pentru Mine de la orice(A) om care-l va da cu tragere de inimă. 3 Iată ce veţi primi de la ei ca dar: aur, argint şi aramă; 4 materii vopsite în albastru, purpuriu, cărămiziu, pânză de in subţire şi păr de capră; 5 piei de berbeci vopsite în roşu şi piei de viţel de mare; lemn de salcâm; 6 untdelemn(B) pentru sfeşnic, mirodenii(C) pentru untdelemnul ungerii şi pentru tămâia(D) mirositoare; 7 pietre de onix şi alte pietre pentru efod(E) (umărar) şi pieptar(F). 8 Să-Mi facă un(G) locaş sfânt, şi Eu voi(H) locui în mijlocul lor. 9 Să faceţi cortul şi toate vasele lui după(I) chipul pe care ţi-l voi arăta’.
Chivotul şi capacul ispăşirii
10 Să facă(J) un chivot de lemn de salcâm; lungimea lui să fie de două coturi şi jumătate, lăţimea de un cot şi jumătate şi înălţimea de un cot şi jumătate. 11 Să-l poleieşti cu aur curat, să-l poleieşti pe dinăuntru şi pe dinafară şi să-i faci un chenar de aur de jur împrejur. 12 Să torni pentru el patru verigi de aur şi să le pui la cele patru colţuri ale lui: două verigi de o parte şi două verigi de cealaltă parte. 13 Să faci nişte drugi de lemn de salcâm şi să-i poleieşti cu aur. 14 Să vâri drugii în verigile de pe laturile chivotului, ca să slujească la ducerea chivotului; 15 drugii(K) vor rămâne în verigile chivotului şi nu vor fi scoşi din ele. 16 Să pui în chivot mărturia(L) pe care ţi-o voi da. 17 Să faci un(M) capac al ispăşirii din aur curat; lungimea lui să fie de doi coţi şi jumătate şi lăţimea lui, de un cot şi jumătate. 18 Să faci doi heruvimi de aur, să-i faci de aur bătut la cele două capete ale capacului ispăşirii; 19 să faci un heruvim la un capăt şi un heruvim la celălalt capăt; să faceţi heruvimii aceştia ieşind din capacul ispăşirii la cele două capete ale lui. 20 Heruvimii(N) să fie cu aripile întinse pe deasupra, acoperind cu aripile lor capacul ispăşirii, şi cu feţele întoarse una spre alta; heruvimii să aibă faţa întoarsă spre capacul ispăşirii. 21 Să pui capacul(O) ispăşirii pe chivot(P) şi în chivot să pui mărturia pe care ţi-o voi da. 22 Acolo(Q) Mă voi întâlni cu tine; şi de la înălţimea capacului ispăşirii, dintre(R) cei doi heruvimi aşezaţi pe chivotul mărturiei, îţi voi da toate poruncile Mele pentru copiii lui Israel.
Masa cu pâinile pentru punerea înainte
23 Să faci(S) o masă de lemn de salcâm; lungimea ei să fie de doi coţi; lăţimea, de un cot şi înălţimea, de un cot şi jumătate. 24 S-o poleieşti cu aur curat şi să-i faci un chenar de aur de jur împrejur. 25 Să-i faci împrejur un pervaz de un lat de mână; peste el să pui un chenar de aur de jur împrejur. 26 Să faci pentru masă patru verigi de aur şi să pui verigile în cele patru colţuri, care vor fi la cele patru picioare ale ei. 27 Verigile să fie lângă pervaz, şi în ele se vor vârî drugii, ca să ducă masa. 28 Drugii să-i faci din lemn de salcâm şi să-i acoperi cu aur, şi ei vor sluji la ducerea mesei. 29 Să-i faci(T) farfurii, căţui, potire şi ceşti, ca să slujească la jertfele de băutură: să le faci de aur curat. 30 Să pui(U) pe masă pâinile pentru punerea înainte, ca să fie necurmat înaintea Mea.
Sfeşnicul
31 Să faci(V) un sfeşnic de aur curat; sfeşnicul acesta să fie făcut de aur bătut: piciorul, fusul, potiraşele, gămălioarele şi florile lui să fie dintr-o bucată. 32 Din laturile lui să iasă şase braţe; trei braţe ale sfeşnicului dintr-o parte şi trei braţe ale sfeşnicului din cealaltă parte. 33 Pe un braţ să fie trei potiraşe în chip de floare de migdal, cu gămălioarele şi florile lor, şi pe celălalt braţ, trei potiraşe în chip de floare de migdal, cu gămălioarele şi florile lor; tot aşa să fie şi cele şase braţe care ies din sfeşnic. 34 Pe fusul sfeşnicului, să fie patru potiraşe în chip de floare de migdal, cu gămălioarele şi florile lor. 35 Să fie o gămălioară sub cele două braţe care ies din fusul sfeşnicului, o gămălioară sub alte două braţe şi o gămălioară sub alte două braţe; tot aşa să fie şi sub cele şase braţe care ies din sfeşnic. 36 Gămălioarele şi braţele sfeşnicului să fie dintr-o singură bucată; totul să fie de aur bătut, de aur curat. 37 Să faci cele şapte candele, care vor fi(W) puse[a] deasupra, aşa ca să lumineze(X) în faţă. 38 Mucările şi cenuşarele lui să fie de aur curat. 39 Se va întrebuinţa un talant de aur curat pentru facerea sfeşnicului cu toate uneltele lui. 40 Vezi(Y) să faci după chipul care ţi s-a arătat pe munte.

4 And blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen, and goats' hair,
5 And rams' skins dyed red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,
6 Oil for the light, spices for anointing oil, and for sweet incense,
7 Onyx stones, and stones to be set in the ephod, and in the breastplate.
8 And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.
9 According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.
10 And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.
12 And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it.
13 And thou shalt make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.
14 And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.
15 The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.
16 And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.
17 And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
18 And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.
21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
23 Thou shalt also make a table of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
24 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.
25 And thou shalt make unto it a border of an hand breadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border thereof round about.
26 And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof.
27 Over against the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table.
28 And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.
29 And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and spoons thereof, and covers thereof, and bowls thereof, to cover withal: of pure gold shalt thou make them.
30 And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway.
31 And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.
32 And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side:
33 Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.
34 And in the candlesticks shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers.
35 And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick.
36 Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.
37 And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it.
38 And the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold.
39 Of a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels.
40 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.

Contributions for the Sanctuary
25 The Lord said to Moses, 2 (A)“Speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me a contribution. From (B)every man whose heart moves him you shall receive the contribution for me. 3 And this is the contribution that you shall receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze, 4 (C)blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, goats' hair, 5 tanned (D)rams' skins, goatskins,[a] acacia wood, 6 (E)oil for the lamps, (F)spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, 7 onyx stones, and stones for setting, for the (G)ephod and for the breastpiece. 8 And let them make me a (H)sanctuary, that (I)I may dwell in their midst. 9 (J)Exactly as I show you concerning the pattern of the (K)tabernacle, and of all its furniture, so you shall make it.
The Ark of the Covenant
10 (L)“They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits[b] and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. 11 You shall overlay it with (M)pure gold, inside and outside shall you overlay it, and you shall make on it a molding of gold around it. 12 You shall cast four rings of gold for it and put them on its (N)four feet, two rings on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. 13 You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 14 And you shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark by them. 15 The (O)poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be taken from it. 16 (P)And you shall put into the ark the (Q)testimony that I shall give you.
17 (R)“You shall make a mercy seat[c] of pure gold. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. 18 And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of (S)hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. 19 Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. (T)Of one piece with the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends. 20 (U)The cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be. 21 And you shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you. 22 (V)There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from (W)between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you about all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel.
The Table for Bread
23 (X)“You shall make a table of acacia wood. Two cubits shall be its length, a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. 24 You shall overlay it with (Y)pure gold and make a molding of gold around it. 25 And you shall make a rim around it a handbreadth[d] wide, and a molding of gold around the rim. 26 And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and fasten the rings to the four corners at its four legs. 27 Close to the frame the rings shall lie, as (Z)holders for the poles to carry the table. 28 You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, and the table shall be carried with these. 29 And you shall make its plates and (AA)dishes for incense, and its flagons and bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold. 30 And you shall set the (AB)bread of the Presence on the table before me regularly.
The Golden Lampstand
31 (AC)“You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand shall be made of hammered work: its base, its stem, its cups, its calyxes, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it. 32 And there shall be six branches going out of its sides, three branches of the lampstand out of one side of it and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side of it; 33 three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on one branch, and three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand. 34 And on the lampstand itself there shall be four cups made like almond blossoms, with their calyxes and flowers, 35 and a calyx of one piece with it under each pair of the six branches going out from the lampstand. 36 Their calyxes and their branches shall be of one piece with it, the whole of it a single piece of hammered work of pure gold. 37 You shall make seven lamps for it. And the lamps (AD)shall be set up so as (AE)to give light on the space in front of it. 38 Its tongs and their trays shall be of pure gold. 39 It shall be made, with all these utensils, out of a talent[e] of pure gold. 40 And (AF)see that you make them after the pattern for them, which is being shown you on the mountain.
