³ “^(A)You shall have no other ^(B)gods ^[a]before Me.

^23 (A)You shall not make other gods besides Me; ^(B)gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves.

^24 (A)You shall not worship their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their deeds; ^(B)but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their ^(C)memorial stones in pieces.

“We Will Serve the Lord”

¹⁴ “Now, therefore, ^[a](A)fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and ^[b]truth; and do away with the gods which your fathers served beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. ¹⁵ But if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served, which were beyond the Euphrates River, or ^(B)the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

^61 (A)Your hearts therefore shall be ^[a]wholly devoted to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as at this day.”

²⁴ “^(A)No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and ^[a](B)wealth.
