(A)“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (B)Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the (C)seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the (D)sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For (E)in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

A Sabbathbreaker Executed

32 While the people of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man (A)gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. 33 And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation. 34 (B)They put him in custody, because it had not been made clear what should be done to him. 35 And the Lord said to Moses, (C)“The man shall be put to death; all the congregation shall (D)stone him with stones outside the camp.” 36 And all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, as the Lord commanded Moses.

The Sabbath-Breaker Put to Death

32 While the Israelites were in the wilderness,(A) a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day.(B) 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly, 34 and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him.(C) 35 Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must die.(D) The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp.(E) 36 So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him(F) to death,(G) as the Lord commanded Moses.(H)
