²⁹ Moses answered, “As soon as I leave you, I will pray to the Lord, and tomorrow the flies will leave Pharaoh and his officials and his people. Only let Pharaoh be sure that he does not act deceitfully^(A) again by not letting the people go to offer sacrifices to the Lord.”

¹⁵ But when Pharaoh saw that there was relief,^(A) he hardened his heart^(B) and would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said.

²⁰ that you made a fatal mistake when you sent me to the Lord your God and said, ‘Pray to the Lord our God for us; tell us everything he says and we will do it.’^{(A) 21} I have told you today, but you still have not obeyed the Lord your God in all he sent me to tell you.^(B)

⁸ Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray^(A) to the Lord to take the frogs away from me and my people, and I will let your people go to offer sacrifices^(B) to the Lord.”

⁷ Do not be deceived:^(A) God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.^(B)

³ Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan^(A) has so filled your heart^(B) that you have lied to the Holy Spirit^(C) and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?^{(D) 4} Didn’t it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn’t the money at your disposal?^(E) What made you think of doing such a thing? You have not lied just to human beings but to God.”^(F)
