The Plague of Frogs

²⁵ Seven days passed after the Lord struck the Nile.

¹³ So Gad went to David and said to him, “Shall there come on you three^[a] years of famine^(A) in your land? Or three months of fleeing from your enemies while they pursue you? Or three days of plague^(B) in your land? Now then, think it over and decide how I should answer the one who sent me.”

²³ No one could see anyone else or move about for three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived.^(A)

⁹ Moses said to Pharaoh, “I leave to you the honor of setting the time^(A) for me to pray for you and your officials and your people that you and your houses may be rid of the frogs, except for those that remain in the Nile.”

¹⁰ “Tomorrow,” Pharaoh said.

Moses replied, “It will be as you say, so that you may know there is no one like the Lord our God.^(B)
