7 Then the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have made you like God^(A) to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron will be your prophet.^(B)

¹⁵ You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth;^(A) I will help both of you speak and will teach you what to do. ¹⁶ He will speak to the people for you, and it will be as if he were your mouth^(B) and as if you were God to him.^(C)

³⁵ If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God^(A) came—and Scripture cannot be set aside^(B)— ³⁶ what about the one whom the Father set apart^(C) as his very own^(D) and sent into the world?^(E) Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?^(F)

²³ Elijah picked up the child and carried him down from the room into the house. He gave him to his mother^(A) and said, “Look, your son is alive!”

¹⁰ See, today I appoint you over nations^(A) and kingdoms to uproot^(B) and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”^(C)

³² Now Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders^(A) were sitting with him. The king sent a messenger ahead, but before he arrived, Elisha said to the elders, “Don’t you see how this murderer^(B) is sending someone to cut off my head?^(C) Look, when the messenger comes, shut the door and hold it shut against him. Is not the sound of his master’s footsteps behind him?”

²⁹ Bear in mind that the Lord has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where they are on the seventh day; no one is to go out.”

²¹ He said to him, “Very well, I will grant this request^(A) too; I will not overthrow the town you speak of.
