God Renews His Promise to Israel

6 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh. For ^(A)with a strong hand he will let them go, and with a strong hand ^(B)he will drive them out of his land.”

³⁹ And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they had brought out of Egypt; for it was not leavened, because ^(A)they were driven out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared provisions for themselves.

^33 (A)And the Egyptians ^(B)urged the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste. For they said, “We shall all be dead.”

The Exodus

³¹ Then he ^(A)called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, “Rise, go out from among my people, ^(B)both you and the children of Israel. And go, serve the Lord as you have ^(C)said.

¹⁹ But I am sure that the king of Egypt ^(A)will not let you go, no, not even by a mighty hand. ²⁰ So I will ^(B)stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with ^(C)all My wonders which I will do in its midst; and ^(D)after that he will let you go.

God Will Restore Israel

³³ “As I live,” says the Lord God, “surely with a mighty hand, ^(A)with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out, I will rule over you. ³⁴ I will bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the countries where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with fury poured out.

Death of the Firstborn Announced^(A)

11 And the Lord said to Moses, “I will bring one more plague on Pharaoh and on Egypt. ^(B)Afterward he will let you go from here. ^(C)When he lets you go, he will surely drive you out of here altogether.
