⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁸ And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things ^(A)which are not fitting;

³ And ^(A)these things they will do ^[a]to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.

¹⁶ “As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of the Lord, ^(A)we will not listen to you! ¹⁷ But we will certainly do ^(B)whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the ^(C)queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem.
