²⁹ Then Moses and Aaron went and assembled all the elders of the Israelites.^(A)

¹⁶ “Go and assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, ‘The Lord, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, has appeared to me, saying: I have given heed to you and to what has been done to you in Egypt.

¹¹ God^[a] did not lay his hand on the chief men of the Israelites; they beheld God, and they ate and drank.

24 Then he said to Moses, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship at a distance.^(A)
