² The Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, ^(A)“A staff.”

²⁰ So Moses took ^(A)his wife and his sons and had them ride on a donkey, and went back to the land of Egypt. And Moses took ^(B)the staff of God in his hand.

¹⁷ And take in your hand ^(A)this staff, with which you shall do the signs.”

³² And every tithe of herds and flocks, every tenth animal of all that ^(A)pass under the herdsman's staff, shall be holy to the Lord.

³⁷ Then ^(A)Jacob took fresh sticks of poplar and almond and plane trees, and peeled white streaks in them, exposing the white of the sticks.
