¹⁴ So ^(A)the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and He said: “Is not Aaron the Levite your ^(B)brother? I know that he can speak well. And look, ^(C)he is also coming out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.

¹³ And He sent out two of His disciples and said to them, “Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. ¹⁴ Wherever he goes in, say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says, “Where is the guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?” ’ ¹⁵ Then he will show you a large upper room, furnished and prepared; there make ready for us.”

⁷ And ^[a]God was displeased with this thing; therefore He struck Israel.

²⁷ And the Lord said to Aaron, “Go into the wilderness ^(A)to meet Moses.” So he went and met him on ^(B)the mountain of God, and kissed him.

Encouraged by Timothy

^6 (A)But now that Timothy has come to us from you, and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you always have good remembrance of us, greatly desiring to see us, ^(B)as we also to see you— ⁷ therefore, brethren, in all our affliction and distress ^(C)we were comforted concerning you by your faith.

²¹ For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.

⁶ Nevertheless ^(A)God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by ^(B)the coming of Titus, ⁷ and not only by his coming, but also by the ^[a]consolation with which he was comforted in you, when he told us of your earnest desire, your mourning, your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced even more.

^13 (A)I had no rest in my spirit, because I did not find Titus my brother; but taking my leave of them, I departed for Macedonia.

^59 (A)Then He said to another, “Follow Me.”

But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

⁶⁰ Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.”
