⁵ Then the Lord came down in the cloud^(A) and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the Lord.^(B)

¹⁹ And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass^(A) in front of you, and I will proclaim my name,^(B) the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.^(C)

³⁴ While he was speaking, a cloud appeared and covered them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. ³⁵ A voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen;^(A) listen to him.”^(B)

²⁵ Then the Lord came down in the cloud^(A) and spoke with him,^(B) and he took some of the power of the Spirit^(C) that was on him and put it on the seventy elders.^(D) When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied^(E)—but did not do so again.

⁹ As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud^(A) would come down and stay at the entrance, while the Lord spoke^(B) with Moses.

¹⁷ I will come down and speak with you^(A) there, and I will take some of the power of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them.^(B) They will share the burden of the people with you so that you will not have to carry it alone.^(C)
