¹⁸ When the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai,^(A) he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law, the tablets of stone^(B) inscribed by the finger of God.^(C)

¹³ He declared to you his covenant,^(A) the Ten Commandments,^(B) which he commanded you to follow and then wrote them on two stone tablets.

¹⁵ Moses turned and went down the mountain with the two tablets of the covenant law^(A) in his hands.^(B) They were inscribed^(C) on both sides, front and back. ¹⁶ The tablets were the work of God; the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.^(D)

²² These are the commandments the Lord proclaimed in a loud voice to your whole assembly there on the mountain from out of the fire, the cloud and the deep darkness;^(A) and he added nothing more. Then he wrote them on two stone tablets^(B) and gave them to me.

¹² The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to me on the mountain and stay here, and I will give you the tablets of stone^(A) with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”

³ You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God,^(A) not on tablets of stone^(B) but on tablets of human hearts.^(C)

¹⁹ the magicians said to Pharaoh, “This is the finger^(A) of God.” But Pharaoh’s heart^(B) was hard and he would not listen,^(C) just as the Lord had said.

²⁰ But if I drive out demons by the finger of God,^(A) then the kingdom of God^(B) has come upon you.

⁹ When I went up on the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant^(A) that the Lord had made with you, I stayed on the mountain forty days^(B) and forty nights; I ate no bread and drank no water.^{(C) 10} The Lord gave me two stone tablets inscribed by the finger of God.^(D) On them were all the commandments the Lord proclaimed to you on the mountain out of the fire, on the day of the assembly.^(E)

¹¹ At the end of the forty days and forty nights,^(F) the Lord gave me the two stone tablets,^(G) the tablets of the covenant.
