¹³ “You yourself are to speak to the Israelites, ‘You shall surely keep my Sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, given in order that you may know that I, the Lord, sanctify you.^(A)

²⁰ and hallow my Sabbaths that they may be a sign between me and you, so that you may know that I the Lord am your God.”

¹² Moreover, I gave them my Sabbaths, as a sign between me and them, so that they might know that I the Lord sanctify them.^(A)

³⁰ You shall keep my Sabbaths and revere my sanctuary: I am the Lord.^(A)

¹⁷ It is a sign forever between me and the Israelites that in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.’ ”^(A)

²³ May the God of peace himself sanctify you entirely, and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound^[a] and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.^(A)

⁸ Keep my statutes and observe them: I am the Lord; I sanctify you.^(A)

³ You shall each revere your mother and father, and you shall keep my Sabbaths: I am the Lord your God.^(A)

⁸ “Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy.^{(A) 9} Six days you shall labor and do all your work.^{(B) 10} But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; you shall not do any work—you, your son or your daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the alien resident in your towns. ¹¹ For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but rested the seventh day; therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and consecrated it.^(C)
