²⁰ So I will stretch out my hand and strike Egypt with all my wonders that I will perform in it; after that he will let you go.^(A)

³⁶ He led them out, having performed wonders and signs in Egypt, at the Red Sea, and in the wilderness for forty years.^(A)

¹⁰ You performed signs and wonders against Pharaoh and all his servants and all the people of his land, for you knew that they acted insolently against our ancestors. You made a name for yourself that remains to this day.^(A)

²² The Lord displayed before our eyes great and awesome signs and wonders against Egypt, against Pharaoh and all his household.

¹⁵ Indeed, by now I could have stretched out my hand and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth.^(A)

⁶ Say therefore to the Israelites: I am the Lord, and I will free you from the burdens of the Egyptians and deliver you from slavery to them. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment.^(A)

³⁹ They baked unleavened cakes of the dough that they had brought out of Egypt; it was not leavened, because they were driven out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared any provisions for themselves.^(A)

³¹ Then he summoned Moses and Aaron in the night and said, “Rise up, go away from my people, both you and the Israelites! Go, serve the Lord, as you said.^{(A) 32} Take your flocks and your herds, as you said, and be gone. And ask a blessing for me, too!”^(B)

The Exodus: From Rameses to Succoth

³³ The Egyptians urged the people to hasten their departure from the land, for they said, “We shall all be dead.”^(C)

⁸ Then all these officials of yours shall come down to me and bow low to me, saying, ‘Leave us, you and all the people who follow you.’ After that I will leave.” And in hot anger he left Pharaoh.^(A)

⁹ The Lord said to Moses, “Pharaoh will not listen to you, in order that my wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.”^(B)
