²⁰ So I will ^(A)stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with ^(B)all My wonders which I will do in its midst; and ^(C)after that he will let you go.

^36 (A)He brought them out, after he had ^(B)shown wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, ^(C)and in the Red Sea, ^(D)and in the wilderness forty years.

²² and the Lord showed signs and wonders before our eyes, great and severe, against Egypt, Pharaoh, and all his household.

¹⁵ Now if I had ^(A)stretched out My hand and struck you and your people with ^(B)pestilence, then you would have been cut off from the earth.

⁶ Therefore say to the children of Israel: ^(A)‘I am the Lord; ^(B)I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will ^(C)rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with ^[a]an outstretched arm and with great judgments.

³⁹ And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they had brought out of Egypt; for it was not leavened, because ^(A)they were driven out of Egypt and could not wait, nor had they prepared provisions for themselves.

The Exodus

³¹ Then he ^(A)called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, “Rise, go out from among my people, ^(B)both you and the children of Israel. And go, serve the Lord as you have ^(C)said. ^32 (D)Also take your flocks and your herds, as you have said, and be gone; and bless me also.”

^33 (E)And the Egyptians ^(F)urged the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste. For they said, “We shall all be dead.”
