⁴¹ The other lamb you shall offer ^(A)at twilight, and shall offer with it a grain offering and its drink offering, as ^(B)in the morning, for a ^(C)pleasing aroma, a food offering to the Lord.

^13 (A)“You shall provide a lamb a year old without blemish for a burnt offering to the Lord daily; morning by morning you shall provide it. ¹⁴ And ^(B)you shall provide a grain offering with it morning by morning, one sixth of an ephah, and one third of a hin of oil to moisten the flour, as a grain offering to the Lord. This is a perpetual statute. ¹⁵ Thus the lamb and the meal offering and the oil shall be provided, morning by morning, for ^(C)a regular burnt offering.

²¹ while I was speaking in prayer, the man ^(A)Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the first, ^(B)came to me in swift flight at ^(C)the time of the evening sacrifice.

⁴ Then all who ^(A)trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the faithlessness of the returned exiles, gathered around me while I sat ^(B)appalled until the evening sacrifice. ⁵ And at the ^(C)evening sacrifice I rose from my fasting, with my garment ^(D)and my cloak torn, and fell upon my knees ^(E)and spread out my hands to the Lord my God,

¹⁵ And King Ahaz commanded Uriah the priest, saying, “On the great altar burn ^(A)the morning burnt offering and the evening grain offering and the king's burnt offering and his grain offering, with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, and their grain offering and their drink offering. And throw on it all the blood of the burnt offering and all the blood of the sacrifice, but ^(B)the bronze altar shall be for me to inquire by.”

³⁶ And at the time of ^(A)the offering of the oblation, Elijah the prophet came near and said, “O Lord, ^(B)God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known this day that ^(C)you are God in Israel, and that I am your servant, and that ^(D)I have done all these things at your word.

²⁹ And as midday passed, they raved on until the time of ^(A)the offering of the oblation, but there was no voice. No one answered; no one paid attention.
