¹² and ^(A)shall take part of the blood of the bull and put it on the ^(B)horns of the altar with your finger, and the rest of^[a] the blood you shall pour out at the base of the altar.

² And you shall make ^(A)horns for it on its four corners; its horns shall be of one piece with it, and ^(B)you shall overlay it with bronze.

^9 (A)And the sons of Aaron presented the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and ^(B)put it on the horns of the altar and poured out the blood at the base of the altar.

¹⁵ And he^[a] killed it, and ^(A)Moses took the blood, and with his finger put it on the horns of the altar around it and purified the altar and poured out the blood at the base of the altar and consecrated it to make atonement for it.

² A cubit^[a] shall be its length, and a cubit its breadth. It shall be square, and two cubits shall be its height. ^(A)Its horns shall be of one piece with it.

⁴ For ^(A)it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

²² Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and ^(A)without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

¹³ For if ^(A)the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with ^(B)the ashes of a heifer, sanctify^[a] for the purification of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much more will ^(C)the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit ^(D)offered himself without blemish to God, ^(E)purify our^[b] conscience ^(F)from dead works ^(G)to serve the living God.

¹⁸ Then he shall go out to the altar that is ^(A)before the Lord and ^(B)make atonement for it, and shall take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around. ¹⁹ And he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it and consecrate it from the uncleannesses of the people of Israel.
