⁷ The poles are to be inserted into the rings so they will be on two sides of the altar when it is carried.^(A)

¹³ “They are to remove the ashes^(A) from the bronze altar^(B) and spread a purple cloth over it. ¹⁴ Then they are to place on it all the utensils^(C) used for ministering at the altar, including the firepans,^(D) meat forks,^(E) shovels^(F) and sprinkling bowls.^(G) Over it they are to spread a covering of the durable leather and put the poles^(H) in place.

⁴ Make two gold rings^(A) for the altar below the molding—two on each of the opposite sides—to hold the poles used to carry it.

²⁸ Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold^(A) and carry the table with them.
