^21 (A)In the tent of meeting, ^(B)outside the veil that is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening to morning before the Lord. It shall be a statute forever to be observed throughout their generations by the people of Israel.

²¹ And it shall be a statute forever for them. The one who sprinkles the water for impurity shall wash his clothes, and the one who touches the water for impurity shall be unclean until evening.

²³ But ^(A)the Levites shall do the service of the tent of meeting, ^(B)and they shall bear their iniquity. It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations, and among the people of Israel they shall have no inheritance.

¹¹ They offer to the Lord ^(A)every morning and every evening burnt offerings and incense of sweet spices, set out ^(B)the showbread on the table of pure gold, ^(C)and care for the golden lampstand that its lamps may ^(D)burn every evening. For we ^(E)keep the charge of the Lord our God, but you have forsaken him.

^3 (A)The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down ^(B)in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was.

³⁴ And this shall be a statute forever for you, that atonement may be made for the people of Israel ^(A)once in the year because of all their sins.” And Aaron^[a] did as the Lord commanded Moses.

¹⁷ It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, in all your dwelling places, that you eat neither ^(A)fat nor ^(B)blood.”

⁸ and when Aaron sets up the lamps at twilight, he shall burn it, a regular incense offering before the Lord throughout your generations.

¹⁹ And ^(A)we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention ^(B)as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until ^(C)the day ^(D)dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts,

²⁵ And he made it a statute and a rule for Israel from that day forward to this day.
