³⁰ “Set up the tabernacle^(A) according to the plan^(B) shown you on the mountain.

⁵ They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy^(A) and shadow^(B) of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned^(C) when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”^[a](D)

⁴⁴ “Our ancestors had the tabernacle of the covenant law^(A) with them in the wilderness. It had been made as God directed Moses, according to the pattern he had seen.^(B)

²³ It was necessary, then, for the copies^(A) of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

Division of the Rest of the Land

18 The whole assembly of the Israelites gathered at Shiloh^(A) and set up the tent of meeting^(B) there. The country was brought under their control,

¹⁷ So the tabernacle^(A) was set up on the first day of the first month^(B) in the second year. ¹⁸ When Moses^(C) set up the tabernacle, he put the bases in place, erected the frames,^(D) inserted the crossbars and set up the posts.
