The Gold Lampstand^(A)

^31 (B)“You shall also make a lampstand of pure gold; the lampstand shall be of hammered work. Its shaft, its branches, its bowls, its ornamental knobs, and flowers shall be of one piece.

² And he said to me, “What do you see?”

So I said, “I am looking, and there is ^(A)a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, ^(B)and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps.

⁴⁹ the lampstands of pure gold, five on the right side and five on the left in front of the inner sanctuary, with the flowers and the lamps and the wick-trimmers of gold;

Making the Gold Lampstand^(A)

¹⁷ He also made the ^(B)lampstand of pure gold; of hammered work he made the lampstand. Its shaft, its branches, its bowls, its ornamental knobs, and its flowers were of the same piece. ¹⁸ And six branches came out of its sides: three branches of the lampstand out of one side, and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side. ¹⁹ There were three bowls made like almond blossoms on one branch, with an ornamental knob and a flower, and three bowls made like almond blossoms on the other branch, with an ornamental knob and a flower—and so for the six branches coming out of the lampstand. ²⁰ And on the lampstand itself were four bowls made like almond blossoms, each with its ornamental knob and flower. ²¹ There was a knob under the first two branches of the same, a knob under the second two branches of the same, and a knob under the third two branches of the same, according to the six branches extending from it. ²² Their knobs and their branches were of one piece; all of it was one hammered piece of pure gold. ²³ And he made its seven lamps, its ^(C)wick-trimmers, and its trays of pure gold. ²⁴ Of a talent of pure gold he made it, with all its utensils.

¹² Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned ^(A)I saw seven golden lampstands,

² For a tabernacle was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand, the table, and the showbread, which is called the ^[a]sanctuary;

⁵ And from the throne proceeded ^(A)lightnings, ^[a]thunderings, and voices. ^(B)Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are ^(C)the^[b] seven Spirits of God.

²⁰ The ^[a]mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are ^(A)the ^[b]angels of the seven churches, and ^(B)the seven lampstands ^[c]which you saw are the seven churches.

The Loveless Church

2 “To the ^[d]angel of the church of Ephesus write,

‘These things says ^(C)He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, ^(D)who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands:

^11 (A)And they burn to the Lord every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense; they also set the ^(B)showbread in order on the pure gold table, and the lampstand of gold with its lamps ^(C)to burn every evening; for we keep the command of the Lord our God, but you have forsaken Him.
