¹⁶ And you shall put into the ark ^(A)the Testimony which I will give you.

²⁶ “Take this Book of the Law, ^(A)and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there ^(B)as a witness against you;

⁴ which had the ^(A)golden censer and ^(B)the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were ^(C)the golden pot that had the manna, ^(D)Aaron’s rod that budded, and ^(E)the tablets of the covenant;

^9 (A)Nothing was in the ark ^(B)except the two tablets of stone which Moses ^(C)put there at Horeb, ^(D)when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

³⁴ As the Lord commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up ^(A)before the Testimony, to be kept.

² Much in every way! Chiefly because ^(A)to them were committed the ^[a]oracles of God.

God’s True Tabernacle

⁴⁴ “Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as He appointed, instructing Moses ^(A)to make it according to the pattern that he had seen,

¹⁴ Now when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the Lord, Hilkiah the priest ^(A)found the Book of the Law of the Lord given by Moses. ¹⁵ Then Hilkiah answered and said to Shaphan the scribe, “I have found the Book of the Law in the house of the Lord.” And Hilkiah gave the ^(B)book to Shaphan.

¹² And he brought out the king’s son, put the crown on him, and gave him the ^(A)Testimony;^[a] they made him king and anointed him, and they clapped their hands and said, ^(B)“Long live the king!”

² And I will write on the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke; and ^(A)you shall put them in the ark.’
