¹³ I am the Lord your God,^(A) who brought you out of Egypt^(B) so that you would no longer be slaves to the Egyptians; I broke the bars of your yoke^(C) and enabled you to walk with heads held high.

³ Then Moses said to the people, “Commemorate this day, the day you came out of Egypt,^(A) out of the land of slavery, because the Lord brought you out of it with a mighty hand.^(B) Eat nothing containing yeast.^(C)

³⁶ Use honest scales^(A) and honest weights, an honest ephah^[a](B) and an honest hin.^[b](C) I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt.^(D)

⁶ But the Egyptians mistreated us and made us suffer,^(A) subjecting us to harsh labor.^{(B) 7} Then we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors, and the Lord heard our voice^(C) and saw^(D) our misery,^(E) toil and oppression.^{(F) 8} So the Lord brought us out of Egypt^(G) with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm,^(H) with great terror and with signs and wonders.^(I)

⁸ But it was because the Lord loved^(A) you and kept the oath he swore^(B) to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand^(C) and redeemed^(D) you from the land of slavery,^(E) from the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
