2 Now a ^(A)man from the house of Levi went and took as his wife a Levite woman.

⁵⁹ The name of Amram's wife was ^(A)Jochebed the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. And she bore to Amram Aaron and Moses and Miriam their sister.

^12 (A)The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four. ^13 (B)The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. ^(C)Aaron was set apart to dedicate the most holy things, that he and his sons forever should ^(D)make offerings before the Lord and ^(E)minister to him and ^(F)pronounce blessings in his name forever. ¹⁴ But the sons of Moses the ^(G)man of God were named among the ^(H)tribe of Levi.

These are the clans of the Levites according to their generations. ^20 (E)Amram took as his wife Jochebed his father's sister, and she bore him Aaron and Moses, the years of the life of Amram being 137 years.
